Chapter 1
They were the school’s golden couple,if they’d been characters in an American high school sitcom, he was the quarterback and she the head cheerleader.
It wasn’t,in truth,a great romance, they had a ton of friends in common and had naturally gravitated to each other in order to not be single in a sea of hooked up teens. They were less than an item, but a rung above fuck buddies.
Chloe harboured no illusions her boyfriend was Prince Charming, but she never imagined he would hurt her that way.....
..........
Chloe was a modern girl. She loved sex and had no time for coyness.Anyone who called her a slut would receive, depending on her mood,a fearsome volley of abuse or a wicked smile and a “fucking right,I am.” Her partners hadn’t run into triple figures, but there’d been a few guys (and one girl),because “you’re only young once.”
The other component of this seemingly perfect pair was Scott who had the blonde, bland good looks that might earn him a spot in a minor boyband. He had an eighteen year old boy’s lack of subtlety and tenderness in the bedroom, but he also had a strength and energy to match hers and they revelled in the nights they spent together.
They were generally uninhibited, but there was one thing to which Chloe wouldn’t consent.Scott was all grace and sweet talk.
“You’ve got such a cute little bum hole and it’s just aching for my dick,” he said.
She’d let him lick it,she’d let him finger it and one day she’d let him fuck it,but that day hadn’t yet arrived.
“I’ll tell you what,” she said, ”if you bend over and let me ram my dildo up your arse, then you can stick your dick in any hole you choose.”
He’d smiled, not knowing if she was joking,or what he’d do if she wasn’t.

Westward Wood lay a couple of miles outside of town.Known by most locals simply as Westie due to its ridiculously unwieldy name,it was chiefly utilised by dog walkers in daylight hours and by teenagers when darkness arrived, especially during the summer months.Drinking, smoking weed and all manner of youthful high jinks took place under the placid gaze of the trees.Come the weekend there were often groups to be found camping and passing round the pot as well as other, stronger substances.
The police were aware of these antics, but rarely took any action. So long as the kids were partaking in their time honoured rebellions away from the more reactionary residents of the town, they were unconcerned.
The woods were a benign place with just one major stain on their history. In the mid nineties an eight year old girl had gone missing from a neighbouring town only for her body to be found,a week after her disappearance,by an elderly man walking his dogs.No one was ever charged with her murder, though the bulk of suspicion had been heaped on her father.Nothing could ever be proven, however, and the police eventually moved on to newer cases and the whole incident dissolved into a melancholy footnote to local history. There were those who tried to get some traction in the idea that the little girl’s ghost still haunted the woods, but even that faded to an intermittent whisper to frighten the younger kids.
