Summary

ONLY SIX CHAPTERS AVAILABLE. REST of the story is ready for purchase on Amazon. How does one go from having the worst life, based on the worst decisions, to living your dream life and having all you thought yourself incapable of? Go into a coma. That’s right, you read correctly. And here is where I explain to you why. My name is Liam Tanner Everell. I have a girlfriend—or three. I don’t quite remember and honestly? Who even has time to count? I left home for college two years ago; a year ago, my little sister decided to go to the same college. And what do you know? She ends up dating my roommate. That wouldn’t bother me if she didn’t run to my mom—figuratively, of course—to tell her everything I do that she would disapprove of, which is pretty much all I do every minute I’m awake. I was lucky enough to have wealthy parents; it doesn’t hurt that they are also decent people. Of course, that means I’m used to getting what I want, when I want it, and because I want it. I have a simple job to help me finish my degree—communications. That was my bright idea; getting a degree in communications when I can barely stand talking to the people I already know. Why do I tell you all this about myself? Because within the next few months, that guy will die... and I will be born.

How does one go from having the worst life, based on the worst decisions, to living your dream life and having all you thought yourself incapable of? Go into a coma. That’s right, you read correctly. And here is where I explain to you why.

Mom, I do not need your help with this, nor did I ask for it. I’m on the phone with Katherine Everell—my mother, as we discussed for the umpteenth time, that I am not returning home. Liam sweety, I’m just trying to do what’s best for you. Your father and I worry so much about you living so far. It’s only a plane ticket. You told Mariela you wanted to move back, let us help you get here.

Of course, she did. Mariela Everell, my dear and holy sister. I should’ve known she would spill it the second she talked to our mother.

Listen... I can’t go back; I can’t leave in the middle of the semester. Let me finish this term, and I’ll consider it, ok?

Yes, darling, absolutely! She cheers, this will make your dad so happy.

Ok, mom, cool your jets! I said, I’ll consider it. We say our goodbyes and hang up.
