My Fight For You

I do not own YJ or the cover image.

Enjoy!

We've seen it.

We've watched it pull life from people's eyes.

But, seeing is different than feeling.

Running for months. Just running, trying to stop.

Every step felt like I was being pulled farther and farther from you.

It showed me things, horrible things.

It showed me pain, and loss, and suffering...

And it showed me you, when you thought I was gone.

I never have, and never will want anything more than I wanted to see you in those moments. How much I wanted you to know I wasn't gone, and that I would come back to you.

But it wouldn't let go.

After it showed me your pain, it showed me your future.

It showed me how you would die.

That's what made me angry.

So instead of trying to stop, I went faster.

It gave up pretty quickly after that.

When I woke up, I didn't know where I was.

Then I felt the temperature.

I was in the arctic, where I had seen you cry.

So I started running. Not in one particular direction, just running.

And before I knew what was happening, I was in an alley in Star City.

There was one door, with a number on it. It was an apartment.

Your apartment.

I knocked on the door and waited for you. Fearing it had already taken you.

But you opened the door.

I will never forget the look on your face. The broken look that looked like nothing but pain.

Then you looked into my eyes.

"W-Wally?" Your voice, no matter how cracked and broken, was the most beautiful sound I had ever heard.

"Yeah, it's me." I replied, forcing my voice not to shake.

You reached out a hand and placed it on my cheek, as if to make sure I was real.

"B-But, you died..." Tears entered your eyes.

"No, I didn't. I needed to come back." I replied, placing my hand over the one you had on my cheek.

You wrapped your arms around me, and I did the same thing. You had your face buried in my chest crying. I held you, praying this wasn't a dream.

"I love you Wally." you whispered into my chest.

"I love you too Artemis."

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...
