The curse
1946/ The beginning
Once, in a time long ago, there was a family called the Tudors. They were a very rich and greedy family and were terribly cursed by a witch as old as time. This witch was mysterious and lived in the woods. She loved to test people’s souls for she didn’t have one. One day, she came across the Tudor’s house and decided that she would test Mr. and Mrs. Tudor’s souls. She found them in the garden at the back of the house. She walked up to them dressed as a maid and asked,“ Which would you prefer, would you prefer love and poverty or wealth and hatred? Choose wisely or you might get punished.” The Tudor parents were shocked to be asked this question, but they said, “Why would we choose poverty for love when we could be rich with wealth and comfort? We don’t want to end up a pitiful soul like you.” The witch was enraged, and that was how this curse came upon the Tudor family. The curse stated that the two children of the Tudors, named Jack and Mary, were to die a miserable death, and forever be in pain and punishment for their parents’ greed for power and wealth. The children would never find peace in death, but if the two children found each other with the love their parents scarcely had for them, then they would finally rest in peace for all eternally. The only problem was that their memory would be erased beyond repair, and the only thing they would remember would be to ... kill the Sherringtons.
The Sherringtons were also a rich and famous family of whom the Tudors were jealous. Unlike the tudors, they chose a life of love and poverty instead of wealth. Since the witch was enraged by the Tudor’s decision, she wanted the Sherringtons to show them what love is worth. They loved each other no matter what happened. The parents of the family had two sons and one daughter, James, little Charlie, and Annie. The only thing the Sherrington family could do would be to live their life without knowing the witch’s curse had begun.
1948/ MARY’s DEATH
First, came young, clueless Mary. She was sitting on the edge of the deck, looking at the bright, crystal water in the lake. She had no idea that a giant kraken was all the way at the bottom of the lake, just waiting for her. The kraken was part of the curse, of course. The kraken had dark, gray skin and yellow eyes. It was only created to kill the little, blond girl. Since Mary had no clue about the kraken, she and her brother, Jack, decided to take a swim, and she started getting dressed for her coming death. She dressed up in her pretty, golden, expensive swimsuit that she loved. Jack was across the lake, putting on gold, silk swimpants. While Jack was getting ready, he suddenly saw movement below in the water. It looked like a large squid, but before he could find the words to warn his sister, he heard a giant splash.
Jack looked up to find his sister drowning. He desperately tried to save her but there was a mysterious force that pulled him back. The only thing he could do was watch and cry silently as she wailed and pleaded for his help. He saw his sister gasped her final breaths and slowly sank to her death.
1950/ JACK’S DEATH
It had been two long years since Jack’s poor little sister died. When Mary’s accident occurred he tried to tell his parents what had happened, but they wouldn’t listen. Mr. and Mrs. Tudor believed that Jack had gone mad and locked him in their mansion! The doctors concluded that Jack was mentally ill due to the shock of Mary’s death, but Jack knew that wasn’t the case. He knew what he saw in those waters while waiting for his sister. He decided to investigate it, but he never made it to the lake. Jack was walking into the storage room of the backyard in his clean shirt and pricey jeans to grab materials for the case. What Jack didn’t know was that there was a bomb in the storage room that was set to go off.
When Jack casually strolled inside, the door suddenly slammed shut behind him. He was filled with unexpectedly sudden shock and when he tried the door, he realized that he was trapped inside. He shouted and yelled for help. When he finally noticed the bomb, it was too late. The whole storage room exploded along with poor, young Jack who was blown to pieces. Those who heard or witnessed the explosion came to find wood smeared with the flesh and blood of Jack’s body. He was never to be seen from again.
Two months later the dead children started to come back to life. Mary was awakened first, and then Jack. Instead of the clothes she wore when she died, she wore a long, white dress that was splashed with her blood. Jack was wearing a crispy, white suit that was also sprayed with his own blood. Mary and Jack had only remembered one thing when they were revived. It was to kill the children of the Sherringtons that were the second born. If the second born was a girl, Mary would slay her. If the second born was a boy, Jack would kill him. Only the Sherringtons can save these poor demon children, even if it means their life.
