Chapter 1
Star was fast asleep when suddenly something jumped on top of her. She got up and pinned down the cub who woke her up."Dust", she growled, "stop doing that!".
"Ok, I'm sorry", Dust said, "can you let me go now?"
"Oh, yeah, sorry", said Star, releasing him.
"Let's go outside", said Dust, running out into the clearing.
Star longed to go with him, but her mother called her over for breakfast, and then began cleaning her fur. When Star was finally allowed to go outside, she looked around for Dust. Suddenly, a small black shape burst from the den across from where she was standing, and Star was knocked over.
"Got you!", Dust said, smiling down at her.
"I told you to stop doing that", said Star, shaking snow out of her fur.
Just like that, Dust vanished out of thin air.
Star finally woke up for real, realizing it was all a dream. She looked over to see if Dust was in his moss bed, but there was nothing there.
