A Manhattan Prologue - Arizona
‘Don’t let someone who did you wrong make you think that there is something wrong with you. Don’t devalue yourself because they didn’t value you. Know your worth even if they don’t, and show them your worth the battle’ - Sayanava Sarkar
About fifteen years ago, when I was just a teenager, I was only 16 years old, that was when I met the man that I was mentally and physically abused by for years to come.
I was too scared to phone for help.
I didn’t have any family members to turn to as they live in California.
I lost all contact with friends.
I was alone.
That was until I phoned 911 almost 3 years ago, after he raped me and left me pregnant with our daughter Arya.
Now, after the ordeal, almost 3 years on, I started looking for someone who would treat me and Arya the way my ex never treated me in the 15 years I knew him.
Meeting Jesse online was pot luck and quite possibly a dream come true. He is the complete opposite of he thy shall not be named.
Jesse’s twins Daniel and Caleb were a few years older than Arya, but as friends they got on just fine. Started treating her like a little sister than a enemy that took a place in their father’s heart.
Jesse though, he was the father Arya never had, the friend I’d craved for my whole life and he gave us both everything you could ever want in a family.
