You were applying for a job for weeks but never got any jobs at all. On four of the afternoon, you decided to go for a walk to space out. While roaming around near the International Café, you came across a little girl. The girl was a beggar and was crying for help, you didn’t know what to do so you comforted her first. You asked where her parents are but she only cried more, you were in a panic so you bought her a mango shake in the near café. After minutes of silence, she finally answered. As she opens up, you felt sorry and sad for the girl. It was mentioned that her parents died and no one was able to help her. The two of you chatted until 5:00 pm, as you stand near the door, she went outside to ask for alms. You tried stopping her but you suddenly bumped into someone.

“Gah! Ohh I’m sorry, I was on the phone. I’m very sorry.” The stranger was in a rush as he talks.

“That’s fine, excuse me.” You left and approached the little girl.

“I’ll let you stay at my apartment; would that be fine?” She was speechless as you offer her a home with you.

“That’s great!!! Yes, I have a mama, I’m so happy.” The little girl was jumping in excitement.

As you and the little girl leave, the stranger from before suddenly called onto you.

“Um... Hey wait! I just need to confirm something with that kid.”

“Yes?”

“Is she a beggar or something? I know it’s a sensitive question but please answer me.”

“She is a beggar, I found her near the café all alone. She mentioned that her parents are gone.”

You answered with no hesitations. The stranger suggested that you let him have the kid, but you refused him without second thoughts.

“Are you thinking that I’m a bad guy? Here look at my ID, I’m Emmerson, one of the executives in the YNU, it stands for Young ones Need Us, which is an organization to help kids.”

As you try to confirm his identity, you noticed that he was telling the truth. You apologized and got embarrassed on the rudeness you’ve shown.

“Oh wait, what’s your name by the way?” He asked sincerely.

“I’m (your name), what do you need?”

“I am looking for an assistant, and if you would like to apply, please come with me at the office.”

You got so excited that you said yes without knowing what the company really do at work. You bid goodbye to the girl as she was taken to a home center for the kids like her, you sat and waited for the stranger come. After a few minutes, he asked you to go get change into something casual. He insisted on giving you a ride to your home so that time won’t be wasted, after getting changed, he invited you to Nez Café for a business matter. As you arrived, he introduced you to the rest of the employees.

EARLIER THAT DAY----------------------------------------------------

“Cery, do you think we’ll need an assistant? It’s kinda hard to leave for a day off especially when I know you’re doing all the work I left as a CEO…”

“Oh, no need for that. I don’t really like depending on people, besides I’m very good at continuing your work as an employee of yours. And I don’t want people to get tired of doing what I do.”

“But I’m sure a little help isn’t bad right? We are also paying the assistant for working in this company if we ever get one. The twins already have their own works in the company, as well as the others. So, let’s consider getting one ok?”

“I guess you’re right… A little help isn’t bad for me huh, well I’ll start looking for someone compatible with this job.”

“Goodluck, I’ll be taking my day off for today. Take care of yourself and everyone.”

“I’ll bring you good news as always, thank you for the concern.”

“Alright, goodbye, see you tomorrow.”

Sheldon left Cery at the office for his day off, as he walks out, she stretched a bit and started writing a report from the last event they held that month. As her keyboard clicks, someone came knocking on the door. She suggested the visitor to come in, and in her surprise, it was Zen who knocked. He hugged her and handed her a bouquet of yellow daisies, Cery was very happy to see him back after a week on his meeting with different successful people overseas. She invited him to have a sit and chitchat for a while at the office.

“How was the meeting? I’m sure you are so exhausted from smiling all day to win the hearts of different people, especially the girls haha.” She giggled as she finishes her sentence.

“It was exhausting haha, but it’s worth it. They donated a lot and offered us to have dinner with them next week at Korea.”

“That’s wonderful! I really wanna eat something delicious even once in a year, just imagining it makes me want to drool over steaks and wine…Ooohh I’m excited on picking outfits, I wonder what looks good on me.” Cery was talking non-stop and her eyes started twinkling from excitement. Zen laughed on how she looks like a little kid dreaming of toys and wonderlands.

“You never fail to make me laugh.”

“Of course! I know everything about you mister scaredy cat, that’s why it’s so easy to make you laugh.”

“Oh, I forgot to mention earlier, some organization called Bright Future for The Young Ones asked for our help. The boss of the organization wants us to participate in a fun run with their employees for the cash, I heard that it was $10,000. All we need was to finish the long run but I don’t know how far it is. Should we participate?”

“The choice depends on Sheldon, but I think that is a good idea. I’ll give him a call after work.”

“Thank you for the consideration. While I’m here, shall we go out?”

“Of course, let me call the others!”

“Wait no- I just want the two o- “Zen stuttered as she was dialing on her phone.

“Yes? Were you telling me something? Oh, wait they answered my call, let me just take this.”

Zen was sinking in shame as she was talking with someone on the phone. He covered his face and slapped his self twice, he murmured to himself how stupid and awkward he is. As Cery ended the call, she got weirded out on how he keeps hiding his face whenever she turns her back around on him.

“Alright let us go! They’ll be waiting at Nez café, hehe that reminds me of you.”

They left the office after finishing the work. At exact 6 pm, they all gathered together at their destination. As they wait for the others to arrive, Sheldon suddenly called. Cery excused herself and left Zen all alone. The twins arrived but Emmerson isn’t there yet.
