Beautiful stranger

I had another dream

It was different from the others I usually had. Normally, I would dream that I was drowning in a river.

No, not drowning... Falling.

There was a bright light just at the bottom of the river and yet somehow no matter how close I was to reaching the light, I always seem to run out of oxygen, I'd pass out and wake up drenched to my bones.

No one ever understood what those dreams meant, neither did they know how to end them.

However, tonight was different.

I dreamt I was in another dimension and in there, I saw all kinds of mystical creatures I never thought to exist.

Then the most exquisite face I have ever had the pleasure of looking upon was right next to me.

His skin shone like embellished bronze. He had hair as silky as the finest thread in all of Desmodia. His eyes were as bright as the blue sea of the ancient gods. It had specks of brown in it and it seemed to shine whenever light reflects on them.

He was so tall, I barely reached his chest. He had the perfect build. Not bulky but definitely not lanky, he looked like he has had his fair share of work out.

I knew he wasn't a desmodian. He didn't have a lengthy ear with a sharp tip like all desmodians do, like I do. If anything, his ears were blunt and petit. He had an earring on his left ear, that gave him a dangerous edge.

He smiled at me and held my hands, my common sense screamed danger but I couldn't help but smile back at him. He had pearly white teeth and pink lips that looked supple to the eyes.

No matter how I tried to say something, the words couldn't come out.

Then the weirdest thing happened. Something strange was happening to the people around me and he kept pushing me into a river. The same river I've been dreaming about.

I fell into the river and away from the bright light. I felt so dizzy. It felt like I was falling away from the bottom of the river, away from the bright light, like I was falling towards dry land.

I couldn't contain it anymore.

I woke up to find myself on the wooden floor of my bedroom.

This time I wasn't drenched.

Something different had happened and I couldn't explain what it was but I knew I had finally looked beyond the bright light at the bottom of the river.

How I did though, I had no idea. I had no idea who the beautiful man was, neither did I know what exactly those dreams were but one thing I knew was, I wanted to see more of the beautiful man in the strange city.
