“Don’t take a step closer to me.”
I said grasping onto my handkerchief as he gripped onto my wrist, Do you really think I was a fool to fall in love with you? I can hear his voice echoing throughout my head, you can see his facial expression that was obvious to decipher his jealousy, I pressed lightly against the collar of his exposed neck, he leaned against my ear as he breathed heavily.
His hoarse yet deepened voice catered against my ears, his breath hitched alongside my skin as my ears reddened.
“Empress, Do you think I, as the Emperor, cannot show the jealousy I had kept within myself?”
“No—I had just thought you had no intention into caring about-”
I couldn’t have time to react nor finish my words I had wanted to say, before he pressed his lips against mine, my fingers interlacing between his darkened jet black hair, his muscular fingers running against the strands of my blonde hair.
The muffled grunts hum against his throat as he broke apart, I looked up into his ocean filled blue eyes, knowing if I had the intention to kiss him again, I’d drown in his ocean filled with sadness, Yet, I couldn’t have enough of him, I couldn’t pull myself into reality.
“Emperor, we are strangers now, we cannot.”
“You’re saying that, as if you’d want more of my love, looking into your eyes as you look in mines—surely, I’d drown into them more.”
With another kiss caressing against my lips, my breath becomes heavy, and before I had known it, my mind had gone blank, my body heats, and here I was—falling deep into his love, as if he had given me a love potion.
“Lady Antoinette will know what we had done—”
“Stop talking, hold me tightly and never let go, Hera.”
I looked into his eyes once more, as his eyes had looked much more sadder every time I had mentioned the maiden’s name, yet without any second thought nor with any words to express how I had felt, I gripped onto his broadened back.
“I’ll hold you and never let go, so don’t let me go,” I said as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
Pressing my lips against his, as his sweet taste fills my mouth, “I won’t—I won't."
