"I honestly loved this novel, it felt poetic in the way it was written, the characters and their depths were illuminated in the best way. It also tickled all my favourite tropes... the Yakuza, interracial pairing with a black woman, the obsession and passion; and without it feeling forced or performative. It was seamless and I loved it."
