I woke up and had a shower as always and got dressed for work, went downstairs, my mom was there cooking us a breakfast

“Oh okay, I’ll miss you”we ate the rest of our breakfast making small talk and laughing. We finished our breakfast, I helped clean up and left for work.
When I left the house i checked my phone and I had 20 minutes to get to my office that was 30 minutes away. I got a bus with the little money I had and had to run to my office building. I got there 5 minutes late, and probably looked like a sweaty mess, I went to my desk left my things and went to the bathroom to freshen up a bit. “Mr Montez I’m so sorry for being late, I know it’s my first day and this doesn’t look good on me, I’m extremely sorry and will try my best not to repeat this mistake twice” I said hurriedly once I sat down
“It’s okay, I understand the pressure of the first day, I called you in to discuss your duties as my secretary” he said while hading me a peace of paper. I was happy with what I saw on the paper as it was exactly what I expected, I had to tell him his meeting schedules every morning, I had to attend all the meetings and take notes, I was to come to the office before him which was by 8am, and the list went on but it’s exactly what I had prepared for so I wasn’t bothered.
“So do you have any questions”
“No sir”
“Alright you can get back to work now and please bring me a copy of the following documents” he said this while handing me a pile of paper that I took.
The day went on as expected nothing spectacular happened, I was busy with work and didn’t bother checking the time until I noticed almost everyone was gone apart from the cleaner and the security, I then checked and saw that it was almost 10pm, I gathered my things and went to tell mr Montez I was leaving. I knocked on his door and he said enter.

“Okay sir what is it you need me to do”
“I’d like you to sort through these files, and pick out the ones I need for tomorrow’s meetings” after I have her the files she left my office and we continued working until 11pm, she entered my office then and informed me she was done. My things were already packed as I finished what I was doing 10 minutes ago, but I was waiting to take her home.
“Alright you can go get your things pearl I’ll take you home” I said while standing up and getting my keys from my table.

Then again it was hard to utter a word when he’s around as I’m more focused on him.
‘Thank you for driving me home” I hesitated for a second before I said “Dante” he then looked at me and our eyes locked.
