1. The P's
REECE'S POV
"When I'm walking with you! I watch the whole room change! Baby that's what you do. No my baby don't play! " Nattie and I sing, with a string of giggles here and there, as the traffic lights come into view and we stop at a red light.
At this point, I could feel the music rushing through my veins, and each beat, each note and vibe, has a pull to my mind and muscles. So I can't help but...
"Break down!" We yell simultaneously, and start dancing -quite terribly might I add- moving around in our seats and waving our hands to the beats.
"Senior year, babe!!" Nattie yells, before hitting the gas pedal, her White Jeep's engine roaring, as soon as the light turns green, leaving tire smoke and a lot of cusses from the owners of the cars behind us.
"We love you too, hoes!" She yells back at the honking cars, playfully flipping them the bee.
I simply chuckle, shaking my head at her crazy behaviour. I turn my head to look at her, propping my elbow on the cold metal door frame of the car. The cool morning breeze hitting my face, making my chocolate brown curls run wild and flap to the wind's direction.
"You're crazy." I mutter with a chuckle. And yet I'm still friends with her.
She snaps her head to look at me for a moment, her stormy grey eyes glistening with a tinge of mischief, before looking back at the road, a menacing smile grazing her features.
I won't lie, I have a hell of a beautiful best friend. Her beautiful caramel skin complements her dark brown hair, that cascades down her shoulders. And to think she used to hate how she looks, saying she wished to be more like, Samantha, the former Queen Bee of the school. I wonder what happened to her.
"But you love me anyway,"She throws a playful smirk my way, as she gets into the school parking lot, and makes her way to an empty lot.
"Psht." A playful scoff leaves my lips,"Child, who lied to you?" I raise an eyebrow at her.
"Deny it all you want, Ree-Ree, but you know you are nothing without me." She smirks ,pulling on the handbreak . I roll my eyes, as a useless attempt to stall for some time as I try to think of a quick comeback.
"Mhmm, that's what I thought. Now get your head out the clouds and welcome to hell. Mu ha ha." She tries doing an evil laugh -to which she fails miserably at- so I just stare at her as if she had just said that the earth is flat.
"No...?" She asks, shrugging her shoulders in question.
I shake my head no, grab my things and get out. I appear over the car's roof looking at Nat as she exits and locks as well
"You need to stop doing that. Never do it again. Ever!" I comment, still shaking my head,"Especially infront of Jase." I smirk, knowing that she's going to blush in 3......

1.....
There it is!
Jase is Nattie's something, kinda, sort of a boyfriend. He's what you'd call a popular, and even though I sort of hate the guy, I have to admit that he is hot. Any who....They've been hanging out lately. Going to dates(if you'd even call raves dates) and stuff, and yesterday night, apparently they finally did it.
I am happy that Nattie is happy, but I still can't shake the feeling that there's something off about Jase, the guy is a player after all. Despite my suspicions and feelings towards the guy I decided to drop it, and focus on the fact that Nat's happy with him. For Nat's sake.
But that doesn't stop me from teasing Nattie about him.
"Shut up." She playfully pushes my arm, blushing crimson red when I laugh at her tomatoe reaction. We start making our way to our lockers which were conveniently situated next to each other.
We make it to the lockers, unlock the customised lock and get the books that we will need out. Just as we close our lockers, there is a riott close by, grabbing our attention. It was pretty obvious what- or rather who- were causing the commotion but as the saying goes....,'curiosity killed the cat'. We turn to find The P's coming down the hallway, laughing amongst themselves. As they always did.
What are The P's exactly?
Well The P's are basically the guys that run the school. The players of the school. You know... Players. Your typical I love you now but I won't after we've fucked type of people. But now The P's are the players only squad.
It consists of five people; Nate, The brown haired and hazel brown eyed boy, with the inviting smile and gorgeous cheeks. He usually goes for the sweet and innocent girls, just so he can boast to his friends the next day about how he turned a good girl bad.
Jase,The typical bad boy with the worn out shirts, black leather jackets and biker boots, has wheatish skin and short dreadlocks. He kind of looks like Swae Lee to me. There was once a rumour that he has been to jail before, which is where he got his tattoos that cover both his -very- muscled arms. I still think they were just tall tales, even though I wouldn't put it past him.
Leroy, the beautiful dark hunk. He is tall, dark and handsome and the Co- captain of the football team along with Nate ; any strong black woman's dream husband. The only thing that throws off the dream guy in him was his attitude towards girls. He looks so sweet, and nice, but I know what hides behind those smiles, is not what is portrays.
Scott, the goof of the group, but fairly good looking nonetheless. Brown eyes and brown hair, like the rest. Plus he is the basketball captain. I think he's the most perverted one of them all. He flirts with everything that has the potential to wear a skirt and moves, and quite honestly, I find it hard to believe that some girls take him seriously. Because I know that I sure as hell don't.
And last but not least, Tobias. The only guy that does not revolt me to the core. He, like the others, has brown hair and brown eyes, with a small -barely noticeable- beauty spot above his lip to the left that makes him stand out. He was my 9th grade crush, but that's when he started to be one of them. So I washed the crush down with great intensity of not telling a soul about it. Not even Nat and Macy- our other best friend- know about it. Which by the way was very hard to do.
The group walked down the hallway aisle, laughing and making a hell of a noise, as though there is no one else here. Jase was in the middle, telling some -probably- funny story judging from how the others were laughing.
I turn to look at Nattie, to find her staring in Jase's direction. Her eyes were practically sparkling at the sight of him, and her lips were curved into a slight smile, one that you would not even notice unless you truly knew Nat, or were super observant.
As the guys get closer, I prepare myself to witness some serious PDA. Knowing Nattie, she would want to claim him infront of everyone to make a point to the other girls -who were obviously looking at the guys like meat- to keep their paws off Jase. Who could blame them though, those guys were carved by angels themselves.
As the guys neared I felt my heart beat faster for some reason, and a feeling sat at the pit of my stomach. A feeling that I couldn't quite put my finger on, but whatever it was, it was not good. Something's wrong.
The group continued their way down the hall, passing us by. Correction, Jase continued down the hall, passing Nattie by. As if he hadn't even seen her standing there, practically calling out for him. That bastard! The nerve he has!
Or maybe something had happened between them? A fight maybe?
The feeling in my gut told me that it was much worse than a simple fight, but it was something... deeper. I decide to stop the self speculation and ask Nat herself about what was going on, but when I turned to face her.... my heart shattered.
I found myself at the brink of crying for my friend, as she stood there, mouth agape and taken aback about what had just happened. I guess the gut feeling was right all along. It was worse than just a fight between lovers. Because they were not lovers in the first place, for it was simple really.
She has just been played.
