"I've already told you to stay out of my life, do you not understand English?" I said. He snorted and looked down at me. "No, That's my child you're carrying and I will be in your life, I did nothing wrong and you can't blame me for something I didn't do, I won't let you go Lillian." He exclaimed. I looked up towards him with a straight face and said, "Yet, you never once apologized for cheating." His face contorted into anger. "I told you Lillian, it wasn't what it looked like!" I backed up and turned my head to the side. "Just stay away from me, Daniel." I turned around and towards the elevator, once I got near the door I felt a jerk on my arm. I turned around to see Daniel staring at me. "What do you want now?" I said. He smiled at me and then kissed me on the cheek. "I love you Lillian, We've been together for 5 years and you know I'd never cheat on you, I'll even take you to the security room and let you see what happened." He said. "Ok, lead the way, Daniel." Chapter 1

Happiness, the feeling of pure and intense joy, satisfaction. A flourishing, eudaimonia, and prosperity, all the things I felt when I was able to get off from a long day at work and sit my fat butt down on the couch and eat ice cream with my sisters. Note the sarcasm.

“Lillian.” Kate states.

“What?” I shoot back

“Kaleigh and I are going out for a bit to get some food, what do you want?” Kate asks.

“Hmm... I want pizza.” I say.

“Ok, well we need to head out,” Kate says just as Kaleigh walks out of her room.

“Are you ready Kate?” Kaleigh asks.

“Yeah, let’s go,” Kate replies.

I watch as they walk out the door and get into the car and leave. ‘I wonder what’s up with Daniel, I haven’t heard from him all day, he usually calls at this time.’ I think as I go towards the bar to grab my phone.

I scroll through my phone and press on his name. As I wait for him to answer, I think about what book I want to write next, before I know it I hear a beep then it goes straight to voicemail.

‘He never answers anymore... Oh well, he’s probably busy.’ I walk out to the mailbox and grab the mail and look through it.

‘Just some bills and a package addressed to me.’

I walk back into the house and excitedly open the package. I look at the book I’ve been excitedly waiting for. “Love Me Not” I read aloud as I look at my latest creation, it looks beautiful.

I sit the book up on my shelf and sit down on the couch. I scroll through the channels and click on Netflix. As I scroll through the movies I come across one that grabs my attention, “Dumplin’“, I read aloud. ‘Hm, that looks good.’, I get the movie ready and then I sit there and wait patiently for my sisters to return.

A few minutes later I hear a car pull up, I glance through the window and see my sisters’ car pull up, I jump up and go open the door as Kate walk in holding two pizzas and Kaleigh follows behind with our drinks and some other goodies.

I squeal excitedly and jump up and down. “Sheesh, calm down Lillian, I’ve never seen someone this excited about food.” Kaleigh laughs out.

“Me neither,” Kate replies as she walks over to the coffee table in our living room and sets the pizzas on it.

“Oh be quiet, what’s wrong with being excited about food?” I ask as they just stare at me and shake their heads laughing at my childishness.

“That’s what I thought,” I say as grab a few blankets and pillows and sit them on the couch.“Ok, what movie did you pick out Lillian?” Kaleigh asks.

“It’s called Dumplin’” I reply.

“What’s it about?” Kate asks.

“Well, It’s about this young girl who was like best friends with her aunt and idolizes her, but her aunt passes away and she lives the rest of her life taking her aunts’ advice on being who she wants to be and proving everybody wrong about what they think of her,” I state.

“Wow, that sounds very interesting,” Kate replies.

“Yeah, yeah, I’m going to get us spoons for our ice cream and some paper plates,” Kaleigh says as she walks off into the kitchen.

“Hey, Kate?” I say.

“Yeah?” She replies.

“Have you talked to Henry lately?” I ask.

“Yeah, I talked to him today, why?” She asks.

“Daniel has been acting weird, he never calls me anymore and every time I call, it goes to voicemail,” I say.

“Well, that’s weird because he’s really attached to you and he usually calls you every chance he gets.” She says.

Before I can reply, Kaleigh walks in with the plates and spoons.

“Ok, I’m back, Let’s eat!” Kaleigh exclaims as she has us our plates and utensils.

I grab a few pieces of pizza and put them onto my plate and start eating as Kate and Kaleigh also dig in.

“Oh, I almost forgot!” I exclaim as I press play on the movie and grab a blanket to wrap around myself, then I start digging in my pizza again.

We finish our pizza while focusing our eyes on the TV and grab our ice cream and some gummy bears, m&m’s, sprinkles, and chocolate chips to out into our ice creams.

As we finish getting everything ready we dig into our ice cream and look back at the movie playing.

An hour later, the movie just finished and we are cleaning up.

“So... now what?” I ask.

“Hm, let’s just sit around and talk for a little while,” Kaleigh says.

“So, Lillian, did your book come in today?” Kate asks.

“Oh! Yes, I forgot to mention that.” I say as I tell them all about my book, ‘Love Me Not’, I just finished publishing.

We spend the rest of the night talking about what has been going on in our lives the past week and what our plans for the future are.
