I walk along the open road, no where to go. No people to know.0
As I proceed with walking through the high grass of the highway with only a dim lited lamp lighting my route I hear the screeching of wheels coming to a stop behind me. A black car with tinted windows halts and the drivers door opens.
A tall figure steps out of the car. I cannot see their face in the darkness of the night, yet from their height and build I can tell it is a man. He begins to approach me, just before I begin to speak.
"Can I help you?" I say to the mysterious mountain of a man.
"I was thinking I would be the one to help you." He states. In a low voice.
"What do you mean?" I questioned.
"You are walking on the side of the highway in the middle of night. That's what I mean." He says in a voice of confusion on why he needed to state the obvious. "Would you like a ride?" Says the boy.
"I dont know you." I challenged. "Why would I ever step foot in a car with you?"
The man stretched out his hand for me to shake. "I'm Theodore , Theodore Silva. See, now we know each other. Would you like a ride?"
I stared at him before saying "All I know is your name. You could still be a serial killer. "
"Well if you would like a ride i guess your just going to have to hope that I'm not." He said,challenging me.
" OK then." I said "I would appreciate a ride. "
He ushered me towards his car and I stepped in to the passengers side and sat down.
When he got into the car I finally saw his face. He had tanned skin, dark black hair that toppled onto his fourhead until he slicked it back out of his eyes, running his hand through it. He had a sharp jawline and slight stubble, high cheek bones and green silver eyes. He looked about 18, just older than me but was definitely very well built for his age.
"So, where would you like me to take you?" Asks Theodore.
"I dont have anywhere to go." I said, staring at the open road. I then turned to face him, looking deeply into his eyes. "Why do you think I was walking on the side of the highway in the middle of the night? Because I like midnight strolls?" I said, annoyed.
He looked at me apologetically. "I'm sorry." He said.
"Never said it was your fault." I argued in a pissy mood.
We sat there, flooded in our own silence. I stared out into the world through the window, counting the lamps we passed. Wondering where Theodore was driving to.
He peered at me every now and then, probably wondering why I was covered in dirt with blood on either side of my head. He didnt ask though, not like most of the ignorant curious people of the world whispering to the people next to them, believing that I can't hear them even if they're being obnoxiously loud. 'Why deos she have a black eye, it makes her look ugly' they would say. As if i had control over what i looked like when i was hurt.
I was always so alone yet as if wherever I went, people were staring at me like I was an animal in a zoo and everyone thought they had the right to bang on the glass of my enclosure.
The car suddenly stopped in front of an apartment complex. I stared at Theodore, confused. Why were we here? What is happening? Is he an actual serial killer?
He then said " I live here. You are welcome to stay as long as you need to. Until you figure out who you can call, like a family member or something."
"Thanks."
I have read the first chapter, apart from some typos and grammatical error the story line seems good, mysterious would like to see where this goes
