Introduction
It all started back in 1918. The first world war was nearing its end. But, there wasn't just that to worry about. The Spanish Flu was also spreading around rapidly. It is estimated that 20 million people all across the globe died from this deadly virus, 50,000 being from Canada, and 5,000 of those being from Saskatchewan. There were two young guys, both who were close friends, who would ride around on their horses in the great prairie fields of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Now, these boys refused to believe that the Spanish Flu existed, and carried on with their normal daily routines. They would refuse to wear masks wherever they went, always making up the same excuse: "We both have very bad asthma. If we were to wear masks, we would have a troubled time breathing." They also somehow always got away with it. That part has always really bugged me. Anyways, these two fellas had their fathers and uncles shot dead, as they were soldiers who served and died during the first world war. So, they became reckless, and they would always do whatever they wanted without someone of age around to take care of them. (Their moms both moved to Regina, and their grandparents, aunties, god parents etc., were all dead as well.) Why? They all thought the same thing. "This whole Spanish Flu thing is just one big hoax." But they were all wrong. They all got the Spanish Flu and died from it. But, here is the catch. The young fellas, ( named John and William,) came back as ghosts. They decided to haunt all 3 prairie provinces of Canada with each other and their own horses, as they secretly always hated the prairies, and dreamed of living in Québec, where they thought they would fit in more, as they both knew french. Now, at 12:00 each night, they haunt their least favourite places in the province they choose. For years, they chose to do Manitoba, as that was their least favourite of the three. So, that means, for all those years, they would have been haunting Winnipeg, Thompson, and Churchill. But then they got sick and tired of it, so they got their other friends, (Mary, Helena, and Leland.) to do Manitoba instead. Then, they decided that they better haunt Alberta, as that was their 2nd favourite of the 3 prairie provinces. So this would have meant that for the next upcoming years, they would have been haunting Calgary, Okotoks, Edmonton, Turner Valley, Brooks, and Black Diamond. They got sick of haunting Alberta after a decade. They really wanted to go and haunt Saskatchewan for once. So, in the year 2000, they started to haunt Saskatoon, Prince Albert, St.Louis, Regina, Uranium City, Stony Rapids, and Yorkton. So, you may be wondering, "Gosh, how did they travel to all of those places?" The answer to that my friend, is, money. John and Williams families had lots of money. They were able to travel wherever they wanted, pretty much whenever they wanted. They would get around everywhere by plane as well, and not horse, or any of the first cars. They never told their parents that they despised those communities though. They hated these communities so much because they were really self entitled, and everyone there was poor, so they would make fun of them, and would always feel as if they did not belong, because they would only become friends with people who were rich like them. Which leads us back to their hauntings, which, in case you were wondering, are unlike any other. You see, John and William are able to shape shift themselves and their horses into anything that they choose. (In ghost form of course.) They could even combine together to make one of the scariest ghosts out there. This ghost is made up of 2 human and 2 horse heads, very sharp hooves, and a massive, 20 feet tall, 16 feet wide body. This particular ghost they did not transform into, until one day, (which you will find later in the story,) they figured out that the Ghosttrappers were formed. (Which, no group quite like this has ever been formed, which is how they got away with the haunting, and even sometimes killing, of the people in the specific communities that they chose in Manitoba, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.) Now, the Ghosttrappers have to figure out a way to trap these horrifying Prairie Prancers, once and for all.
