Addison Carson hasn't always had the easiest life. At the age of 11 her twin sister committed suicide. Her dad blamed her for it and wished that she was the one who died, he left shortly after. One day she finds out her mum is going to be her teacher at Olympus High school, everything starts out fine, her mum even put her on a table with her best friend Ally, her crush Kyle, the smartest kid in class Isaac and Bryce the class clown and Kyle’s best friend.
Kyle is the hottest guy at school, he has everything handed to him on a silver platter but after his 13th birthday things start to take a trip for the worst, losing his mother due to a car accident he still blames himself for it. After being dared to ditch this girl in his class, Kyle learns the meaning of the ripple effect when things start spiraling out of control.
Addison known to Addi by her friends gets asked out on a date by her crush Kyle, when he doesn’t show up things go from bad to worse as she heads home. When the health teacher starts going on about consent Kyle suspects that something happened after he ditched her, when he asks, Addi accidently spills to him. Their table group is set to do a project together.
