Chapter 1
It was dark and the fog had covered the whole city so that nothing was visible apart from a blurry sight of blinking light on a street. On this silent night, two little girls were the only human beings on the street of London. Everyone on the street had vanished never to be seen again. The government not only refused to sign the peace treaty it also declared war. Since the news of the war broke now one had went outside.
Lucy and Clara lived in the underground station and they were living off the food from the shops that had closed down.
Lucy was a pretty blond girl with purple eyes. She was adopted. She was also clever and nice whereas Clara had black messy hair. Even though she wasn’t as beautiful as her sister she was obviously more responsible and thoughtful than her. For 4 months they had been living underground because a big debris from a spaceship had fallen on their house causing the death of their parents.
That day the two decided to look if there was anyone else wondering in the London streets. First Lucy got out and told Clara that it was safe to go out. The two got out and started walking. In a sudden, they heard someone calling for his mom. the two girls started walking forwards the voice when hey arrived they found a boy about their age. As soon as they arrived the boy saw them and then he jumped back but then he realised that they were human beings too he calmed down. Clara told him about their present situation and how they live and added that they would like to take him to a safe place. Once the boy expected their offer. He went arm and arm with Lucy and they sat off. On the way, they learned from the boy whose name was Nick that his parents were soldiers in the army.
Suddenly everywhere illuminated Lucy and Clara saw that a big spaceship was coming right at them.
Lucy and Clara thought that the aliens were doing experiments on humans however they had no idea about what they did afterwards.
Because of that, there was one thing left to do: go into hiding. The three kids started running for their lives. Everything happened in a split second. A big explosion was heard and all of a sudden it was dark everywhere. Clara saw the station and speeded up finally they arrived at the metro station. As soon as they walked in she collapsed on the couch that they had found from a ruined house. The three children had been running soo much that they were sooking in sweat.
The girls were so exhausted that they immediately dozed off whereas Nick was still thinking about that day but eventually he also fell into a deep sleep
Lucy got up early to get some cloughs from the shopping centre that had been deserted. Even though she didn’t know his size he got few cloughs that she thought would fit him.
Nick was staring at the seeling when she came in. Lucy handed him the cloughs. After that, she woke up Clara. Clara went with Nick to a market to get some egg pills. Then the two went down and took their pills. After breakfast the three of them sat on the floor to think about what they are going to do. None of them forgot what had happened and they also didn’t know each other however they had no choice but to trust one another. The fear of death had turned friends into enemies and enemies into friends. Because of this, the three had to cooperate and get along in order to survive. However, this did not stop Clara and Lucy from wondering about Nick’s background, especially about what he had seen in space, as they had never been to outer space.
