A man thinking of his own destruction
Looking around the crowd, the man's smile dissipated.
Why has that happened? Simply because he hated the crowd.
Whenever he looks at them, he cannot help but sigh at their triviality
Everyone that saw such sight of him that he didn't bother to hide, felt the cold atmosphere he was emitting
Or at least everyone who knows him
"Umm...Is this the room for BSIT 2-3?"
A girl asked him looking terrified but not to him but also to everyone else in the room
He smiled at her and gently answered her question.
"This is indeed BSIT 2-3, you aren't at a wrong place."
Everyone who saw such attitude of him felt confused except for the girl that is
The girl smiled on him and went on another seat
At lunch break everyone head into their own way except for the man and his own friend that is.
"Joshua, how did it go earlier?" Gasping for breath, he still asked his friend.
Why was he gasping for breath? It was simply because of the long hours of ordeal in classes.
Joshua who knew of him well answered "Well, they were afraid you would traumatize Elaina earlier, but other than that she manage to get along with everyone else"
"I see, that's nice, I am afraid of getting her involve to me, will destroy her social relationship, my path and her path must not intertwined." Joel smiled bitterly.
"So, what do you plan on doing now Joel?" Joshua asked even knowing what would his answer be.
"Well as always, I am walking the path to destruction, want to come along with me?" Joel smile as he jokingly said those words.
Joshua, a friend that he shares an intimate friendship couldn't laugh at such statement, even though they were similar in some ways both of them were still different.
Joel noticing the atmosphere between him and his friend said curtly "Should you go ahead and have lunch? I am not feeling the need to go today."
At last the two departed ways.
"Speaking of the devil." As Joshua stepped out of the room, he noticed Elaina curled out in the corner.
"How long have you been there?" Joshua asked Elaina but Elaina remained silent
Noticing the intense silence between them Joshua continued moving, once Joshua was finally out of her sights.
Elaina entered the room seeing the lone sight of Joel
"Hey" Elaina called out to him, Joel decided to ignore her as he had decided not to get her involve with him.
"Hey" Elaina called twice but Joel remained silent.
"Hey" Elaina called out again but this time she was near Joel's personal space.
Joel was almost out of his wits just by the mere sight of Elaina, anyone with such beauty will always attract guys, he could barely hold his silence, but even so he was stubborn until the end, he manage to flip a switch inside him, completely switching off his own ways of seeing a beautiful girl such as Elaina.
Elaina whispered nearly to his ears.
"Hey, stop it." Joel could no longer hold in being silent.
Elaina smiled at him and said "Oh, you finally stop ignoring me, I was just going to say thank you for earlier."
"You could have just said that." Joel said as he sigh at such ridiculous situation he had to be in.
"Wait, didn't you like what I just did." Elaina continued the conversation even though he noticed Joel didn't want to continue any further
"I don't think there is a guy out there who didn't like such situations, but even so, please do it only in front of a guy you like." Joel blushed, never wanting to admit but even so his own ways of morality is the one with highest.
"Well, if you are this interesting to chat with, surely there couldn't be a woman who can resist your allure." Elaina said in a joking manner in which Joel shake his head in denial.
"Like hell anyone would be interested on me, at the very best, no girl would like a guy talking about the path of destruction he currently walks on." Joel said as he turns to face to sky.
Elaina felt such mysticism as he looks at Joel.
"Hey, want to be friends?" Elaina asked.
"I don't think I can consider you a friend or anything at all." Joel said, he knew exactly what his path would lead her.
"So go on now, be friends with the other's, their path wouldn't lead you to destruction." Noticing the silence between them, Joel ushered to do so.
At such, Joel became much more of a mystery to her even though he was already a mystery from the beginning along with everyone else, but at such idea of ignoring social interactions merely intrigued Elaina's mind
Elaina left without a word to him, respecting him of his own decision.
While Joel felt happy that no one has to be drag at his own mess.
Joel wait for the crowd, only to appear disappointed again, it was that moment that he didn't have to fake being displeased.
Inside his mind were nothing but hatred not only to himself but also to humanity, while such thought of love for himself and humanity exist as well.
At such point, he couldn't be bothered by trivial manners and that include studying.
If he ever told anyone of his thoughts, he was afraid that it would lead them to their destruction.
At such, he continued to live his life, loving and hating himself as well as the world, continuing to move his own toward his destruction and apathetic towards change, feeling the same over and over again.
There wasn't anything that he considers to be intrigued anymore, not a single one, at such as the path of destruction he said that continually destroy him, thus he doesn't seek any savior neither hope anyone will save him
At such he walks the path right back home with a monochrome tinted sight

This story started off in a very powerful way, but became confusing when first the girl then the friend enter the narrative. It would be improved by just working on the scene introducing Elaina, showing how she reacts differently from the way everyone else is reacting to him. This would give you a powerful hook to move forward - the reader will want to know why. The narrative with the friend just confuses issues, and seems to remove some of the pain he is feeling.
