Hi everyone. My name is Genevieve Kylie Bailey. I live in Miami and stayed her for almost my whole life. I'm 22 and I'm an outcast. Yess you heard right. I'm on everyone's hate lists. I bet your thinking why. Well let me tell you a secret ... I dont know either. Well it's all fine. Not that I care what people say. I hate emotions. I don't feel that shit. Thank goodness. I heard a rumor that feelings could make you completely miserable. Let me just put it out there.
I'm a loner.
I like being on my own. It calms my soul. With everything going on in my mind today. I need silence. So yess I'm totally a loner.
Ok sometimes I love to talk to theo (my brother). Since it just me and him, he's the only one to talk to. And since he sort of raised me I liked talking to him. He actually more like a father figure. But we still do brother and sisterly stuff together. Cool right. My brother is 6 years older than me. That makes him 28. That's great.
Well like I was speaking about myself. I work at a little cafe near me and Theo place. He keeps telling me to quit the job but I hate taking his money. Ok I understand he's a lawyer but still. I like to know I have my own money. Besides It keeps me busy.
Talking about work. It's time to go. I ran towards my room to get my stuff. I came back and searched for my phone. Where did I put the damn thing again. Ahhh there it is. I said to myself and ran towards the kitchen table. I grabbed it and ran to the doors. Theo rented a cute cosy 2 bedroom apartment. Like I said. He always looked after me. I locked the door and turned to the staircase. Luckily I wasn't wearing heels because that would not be so appropriate with this stairs. I made my way of the apartment building and was now walking calmly to the cafe. It was like a 10 to 15 minutes walk and to be honest I loved the fresh air. As I was infront of the cafe I sighed and headed in. I was greeted with a warm smile from MRS Hills. She was the owner of the cafe. I liked working here. I loved the smell of coffee and muffins. Gross. I would never eat them though. Just smell them.
"Hello Genevieve. So good to see you." She said and gave me another smile.
"Thanks MRS Hills." I said and walked towards her.
"Can I help with something, darling." She asked in a very sweet tone.
"No. Not at all MRS Hills. I'm just gonna get ready for my shift." I said and she gave me a nodd and a smile.
"See you in a minute." She said and walked to the kitchen. She loved this cafe. Every now and then she would call me to her office to drink coffee with her. I was glad to say that I was kinda her favourite. She would also invite me and Theo for dinner sometimes and I loved to go to her house.
I walked to the staff bathroom and putted on my black jean and my white work t-shirt. I looked at myself in the mirror. I just couldn't understand. Who can hate this face. I was gorgeous. But like I said outcast. I had the most beautiful hair. That almost reached my butt. It was a dark brown with a little bit of blonde here and there. But hey. Still the outcast. I walked out of there and started my shift.
First some old people showed up. I took their order and went to the kitchen. I gave it to Grace and she had a smile.
"Thanks."
"No problem." I said and turned around.
When I made it to the cash register. I saw new people walking in. I quickly made my way to them and asked their orders. And so 2 hours later my shift was over. I walked back to the staff bathroom. I putted on my normal clothes and headed out. I walked to MRS Hills office just to say bye.
"MRS Hills. I'm heading home. Can I help you with anything before I go." I asked as I went in her office. She was atleast in her mid fifties. She was actually still very good looking and healthy.
"No darling. You look exhausted. Let me drive you home." She said and packed up her laptop.
"No MRS Hills. You don't have to." I said. I dont wanna bother her or something.
"I insist." She said walking over to me.
"Please honey. I don't wanna hear tomorrow you fell asleep on the sidewalk and I'm also going home. It's on my way." She said with wide smile.
"Ok MRS Hills. You can take me home. Its Just I don't wanna bother you." I said.
"What. Child you'll never bother me. I'm always here for you. Ok. Now lets go." She said and picked up all her stuff. We walked out of the cafe and she locked the place up.
"Come on. Get in." She said and I just laughed.
It was a short drive then she parked infront of my apartment.
"Thanks MRS Hills. I appreciate it so much." I said and gave her a side hug.
"The pleasure is all mine. Remember. I'll always be here for you." She said and gave me a warm smile.
"Thanks." I said and turned to the door.
"Please tell send Theo my regards." She said. I looked back at her.
"I will do so MRS Hills."
When I got out of the car I went into my apartment. I unlocked the door and went in. Theo is probably not home yet. He's a very busy guy. I'm still so glad he made something of himself. I mean really. A lawyer. That's just Wow.
I went to my room and putted on some comfy clothes. I then headed to the kitchen. I'm thirsty as hell. Good thing I was in shorts because It was actually warm here. Obviously it is Miami.
After just sitting around doing quite nothing I heard the door open.
"Lil sis." I heard theo scream.
"I'm in the kitchen."
After a few seconds he came walking into the kitchen.
"There you are." He said. He came walking to me. Then he gave me a little hug.
"How was your day." He asked
"Fine I guess. Yours." I answered.
"Nice. Listen. I need to talk to you about something important."
"What. Did you get a girl pregnant." I joked. He almost fell on the ground of laughing.
"No you idiot." He said
"Then what." I asked.
"Your not gonna be happy."
"Just spill the beans theo. You know I hate waiting." I said.
"We need to move."
