Winter Formal Cup

Its my 16th birthday and the official start of my Winter formal cup where a nobles around my age compete to win a spot on my council for when I am Queen. This is the firs cup I will hold and if I don’t find 12 members for it then each season I shall hold another until I finally get it right. I know that Mother had 5 cups and she had to kick a few people of council.

Any way diary the cup works like this it lasts from beginning of season to the second last week so people can prepare for the next if their is one. 120 people are selected to join the cup they all live in the gest part of the castle. The entire structure itself can house 10,000 and it nearly dose. The building was constructed wrong so instead of over working staff we decided more staff and they could all live here with there families or in a house on the property. Any way 100 people are chosen and then I narrow it down week by week. The best person of the chosen gender will automatically become King or Queen there for you pick another one from the home batch or hold another season if you need.

That’s one of the reasons my dad isn’t the king. My mom the queen chose him be the father of her child and married Queen Karina or as I call her Auntie K. she is my absolute best friend in this hell hole I call royal life. Other than Maddy my maid. I hate how caged I feel as if I cant do this or do that just because of a stupid title. As Maddy was choosing my clothes she had an idea abstract but useful.

“Well why don’t you just enter yourself in Elle. All the things that you are capable of will show people that you can do it.” I was surprised at first but then it made sense until I realized that they would know it was me.

“ that wont work they will recognize their princess and I’m supposed to judge them I cant be in to places at once.” I respond

“ Actually my mother created these contacts that allow you to see in two places at once and process it all. Which then leaves us to your body I believe she has an enchantment for that.” Maddy’s mom was the castle sorcerer. Each kingdom has one for just in case maters other than that its not really used.

So I did as she said last week and entered in A Lex Roche of Candle Bury. Maddy’s mom made me tower puffs that would change my appearance.

‘Lex’ long blond hair and purple eyes. Her appearance and height, since there was nothing we could do to change my shortness, Would make people underestimate her. So I had to work hard and try. I also had a green gem tattoo on me it was magic that made sure that everyone saw me as Elle.

I decided that I was going to switch back when we weren’t doing challenges so this was going to be hard. When I was the princes ‘Lex’ couldn’t be in the same room if I didn’t have the other other thing I got a green gem necklace.

Any way after all that explaining Diary I can finally tell you how my day went.

I woke up and had Maddy get me black winter tights, a white winter shirt a purple shawl and belt. Along with the wrest of the bags I was taking. I know its improper for a girl to where pants until they were 27 years of age. Though I loved them so dearly. So I decided go improper. They were all going to think I’m an idiot. I only saw pictures of them but not one of them had blond hair.

I was last on the list so I came to a conclusion that I would greet everyone as me. By the time everyone arrived I was so nervous. Mother and Auntie K went out first. I could here there announcing. “ Hello everyone welcome to my daughters Winter Formal Cup. As you all know that twelve of you will possibly end up on her council. And one king and stand by my daughters side instead of being on council. You will have many challenges ahead and lots of them will require team work so for the first cup in history we will put you in teams of 5. Each week five people will go home and not necessarily a team but five individuals so it will stay even. At the 11 weeks end princess Elle will choose who can be on her council. Now if you would please come out and present yourself daughter and list the teems.”

The doors opened and I approached the stairs. I had one problem with this. Although I am a princess and I have gone through class for etiquette time and time again and I am skilled with 2 sports. I had one problem that I was probably the clumsiest person to walk the earth I dreaded these stairs.

They were all in the grand ballroom witch had three stair cases one in the middle and one on each side of it. The middle one is hard to get down due to it being very steep so mother lets me go down the side stairs when we aren’t in front of an audience. There for she wants her clumsy daughter to walk down the steep stairs. I hade no clue how I would pull it of and honestly I didn’t want to I was going to make a horrible impression.

So after I had that realization I did the only thing I could think of I sat on the railing and slid down it. I heard gasps and whispers but ignored it and said. “ Hello its nice to meet you all. Ok so for Team Teramax we have Angelica, Eliza, and Peggy Ross then with them are Missy Landford, Riley Lanford, and Jack Harold. Next is…” I don’t have the time to right all the teams.

When it came to the last one I faked an appointment with the tailor so I had to leave early and the fastest way was through the other ballroom doors in the back. So I went to the back opened the door stood outside where I wasn’t visible and ate a tower puff.

I walk back in as Lex with just enough time to here” ok for Team Phoenix are Onoxy and Tyler Red, Kade Richards, Andrew Michaels, and Lex Roche. So split into your teams then once you find everyone come here and get the keys to your teams room section and get to know each other dinner will be sent up to you tonight your challenge is to use your mind to crack a puzzle it is in your room.”

After lots of well just plain unorganized scrambling my group made it. There were five rooms each with there own bathroom. In the middle of the apartment was a living room with four couches placed in a square around a glass table.

I ran over and laid on a couch only leaving space for one more person due to my short height. Before anyone else could speak Andrew grabbed the package on the table witch I assumed was our challenge. Just before opening it he said looking at me. “I know that this might be a little hard for you to comprehend. So just let the big kids handle it. Ok?” “What's that supposed to mean” I respond.

“it means you showed up in pants I cant believe with all of your daddy's money he let you leave like that.” That was one to many words that came out of his mouth. I was about to tell him of when I remembered my moms lessons about being underestimated. So I left it alone and replied with a simple sure.

I will right again tomorrow just to tired to finish this now.
