April fool's day was everyone's favorite holiday to celebrate growing up. My town was a little more traditional than others. The only thing about this day was that my mother just so happen to birth me on this holiday.
"Happy birthday Jane" is all I heard on campus today. Some wishes came from students that barely spoke to me. It must be the dress I'm wearing today, people decided to notice me all of a sudden. I sat in the front row of my literature class so I made eye contact with Mr. Phillips often. Today he made sure to tell me happy birthday in front of my entire junior class, I hate attention.
Jane also hated college as much as she hated April fool's day. She was quiet in her classes and had fewer friends than the average student. Her long red hair fell to her tiny waist, that was the first thing people noticed about Jane besides her honey brown eyes that always caught the sunlight. Her tone was naturally sun kissed while her clothes hugged her hour glass figure. She always kept her cute face barried in her books to avoid making eye contact with her surroundings. Her plump pink lips were always curved up in a snarl at others because they annoyed her. Jane was a short girl who didn't need attention from others and she liked to keep it that way throughout her semester.
I wrote my name and my special date on the assignment Mr. Phillips handed out today. As I began my work I hear a "April fool's" in my left ear. I rolled my eyes but the deep raspy voice sent goosebumps up my legs. I looked down at my bare legs and pulled my dress as far as it would stretch. My peripheral vision gave me the slightest glance of a Air Jordan 11 shoe, "hmmm maybe a size 10 shoe" I thought to myself. I love sneakers just as much as the next person. I was to shy to look to my left though. I could only guess whoever the man was saw my bare legs stiffen. The classroom got quiet and so did he. I was expecting him to say something else because I never gained the courage to look his way and see who or what he wanted. As time flew by I felt heavy eyes on my body making me tense and fidget with my pen. Maybe I should have worn jeans today.. Maybe I should have sat in the back row. Whoever had there eyes on me would not let up and I could feel there intense heat on my thighs. I tried to focus on my assignment and what Mr. Phillips had to say.
"Chapter 4 will be due Friday afternoon folks, good day!" Mr. Phillips hollered "And April fool's".
The class scattered out like always. I gathered my belongings and turned left towards the door. The class was about empty by then; just a couple of heads left. One head in particular caught my attention only because it was facing away from me and was attached to the body of the Air Jordan man. His thick curly dark hair quickly escaped the room leaving me with only my imagination of what he might look like. I hurried to the door to try and catch at least a glimpse of this mystery boy. I was just curious of who decided to tell me April Fool's day today. I looked to my right, no boy. I looked to my left, no boy. I decided I would see him for sure on Friday, I mean we did have literature together. I could never forget those lushes dark curls.
It was Wednesday and I was already ready for the week to be over with. I hated April fool's day let alone how people acted on this holiday. I felt a cold breeze on my knees as I walked through the campus to the parking lot. Oh why did I put on this short dress? I looked down to pull my black fabrics again and suddenly the breeze I felt on my legs disappeared like a flame blown out on a candle.
Eyes! I felt those intense eyes again. I felt that mysterious heat I had earlier today. I rose my head to find the most chilling eyes that had ever laid on me. The kind of eyes that you cannot stare into for too long or that person holding them would take over your entire body; And that's exactly what he did. Those triple white Jordans were kicked in front of the other leaning on the hood of my truck waiting for me to get closer. I swallowed hard and took a short step. What did this mystery boy want? How did he know this was my car? I kept my head up trying to be confident while he kept his brown eyes locked on mine. I couldn't seem to keep up with this staring contest though. He could see I was confused as I came to a stop, I kept my distance. A half grin formed on his chiseled face. I had never seen this handsome man around but he was standing about 6'4 intimidating but calm! I could see the start of a tattoo above his black coat collar. His gold chain nearly blinded me when I caught a glimpse. This man was painfully sexy in my eyes. He finally spoke to what came out as a surprise.
