Prologue
18 Years Ago
Harry, James and Lily Potter slept soundly in their beds. Suddenly, a noise awoke Lily. She jumped up and grabbed James.
‘He’s here.’
The door was blasted open.
‘Lily, get Harry and run!’ James screamed. ‘He’s coming!’
Somewhere below, a snake hissed. The stairs creaked as a shadow glided up them.
‘How sweet,’ Voldemort snarled. ‘The man wants to sacrifice himself. I won’t let this act go unnoticed-you can die first.’
‘Lily, run,’ James screamed again.
‘Avada Kedavra!’ Voldemort screeched.
James’ body slumped to the floor. Lily stared into Voldemort's cold eyes. How fitting, she thought. That before I die, the last thing I see is my killer's eyes.
‘Avada Kedavra!’
Harry Potter awoke from his slumber, just in time to see Voldemort’s face standing over his crib.
‘Avada Kedavra,’ Voldemort whispered. The prophecy is scrapped, thought Voldemort.
Little did the monster know, that somewhere, there was another boy who also fit the terms of the prophecy.
