Chapter 1
Lucy worked at the pizza place near the old abandoned Carnival Grounds. One night Lucy's friends and she went to the old Carnival grounds to snoop around and have fun. Lucy and her friend Katie walked around with their boyfriends Tom and Alex for about an hour. What they didn't know was these carnival grounds belonged to people. People different from any normal human and there was a lot of them living on the grounds.
One of these people was a boy named Tate, He was the most evil of them all. Tate ran past them through the shadows, Lucy turned around quickly and shined her flashlight into the dark foggy shadows. " Lucy you okay?" Katie asked as she placed her hand on Lucy's left shoulder.
" I heard something" Lucy responded and spun around as a glass bottle clanked behind her and Katie.
"what was that?" Katie looked to the boys.
"girls it's just rats calm down, don't get your panties all in a wad" Tom joked and the group continue walking. Tate followed them carefully guiding them to the Carousel, Tate's favorite ride.
"hey guys check out this thing" Alex exclaimed excitedly and climbed on one of the old horses.
"Ew Alex get off of that thing" Katie said and walked over to it, Tom took her hand and convinced her to just get on. Lucy also climbed up onto one of the horses just like the others. Tate was so excited and he flipped the switch turning the carousel on.
" Ahhh what's going on?" Lucy yelled to the others and the carousel began to move and the music played. Lucy looked around to see who turned it on and she caught a glimpse of Tate standing in the middle smiling evilly.
"guys who turned this damn thing on" Katie screamed as the thing sped up. Tate flipped the switch back off and the carousel slowed down and stopped. Lucy's friends and her got off the carousel and ran trying to find the exit.
"What the hell is going on, where's the exit?" Alex yelled as he kicked a bear bottle.
"Alex calm down we just got to keep looking" Katie said as she grabbed his shoulder.
" I saw someone" Lucy admitted and looked at them.
"what..who?" Tom looked at Lucy surprised as he spoke.
" a boy at the carousel" Lucy said " maybe he can help us" Lucy looked to Alex and Katie. Alex took off running for the carousel and the others followed.
" Alex stop please stop" Lucy caught up to Alex as they reached the carousel.
"where is he?" Alex questioned angrily. Tate smiled and whistled a soft quiet tune as he sat down on a crate and played a black violin. The four of them jumped and turned around with Tate's first note. Tate looked up at them with a glowing evil smile as his friends knocked the four teens out with beer bottles.
