Neurodivergent Truth
"Full disclosure: This is a review of just a few chapters so far. A lot of books have the story pretty much printed on the cover. This is not one of those stories. It doesn't take long to realize Karen describes a bright glowing life almost lost to neglect, abuse, and misunderstanding. Many Autistic people go unrecognized their entire lives, unseen, and the erasure can make their stories disappear. The author's voice is clear and the stories seem as though told through a historical lens, taking you through the years to not only illuminate you on who she is, but how it was to be her. How it feels, in retrospect, to be seeing things from the inside, all the way out."
