About Six Million Years In Five Minutes

Once apon a time, there was humanity. They started off pretty dumb, living in caves and throwing rocks at lions and things. It took them a long, long time to evolve to the point of even having an official spoken language. It took even longer for them to make clothing. And even longer to build their own homes. By then, they were no longer throwing rocks at lions. They had learned to make weapons. Slowly, humanity crawled up to their place at the top of the food chain. As humanity became more advanced, they began to try to make new things. In 3500 BC, they invented the wheel. By 850 AD, they had invented gunpowder. By 1879 AD, they had invented the light bulb.

It was in 1923 when the paranormal beings decided to reveal themselves to humanity. They had hoped that both the normal and the paranormal could live in peace. This plan backfired royally. When the representatives the paranormals had chosen came to the major capitals across the globe and revealed their true selves, they were slaughtered. That’s when the hunting began.

The hunting of paranormal beings quickly became popular across the globe. It went from a job the government would pay you to do to something families would get together to do on the weekends to have fun. Like golf.

By the twenty first century, there were barely any paranormal beings left. The ones still alive went into hiding, not showing their faces or interacting with humanity. And slowly, humanity lost interest in hunting. That is, until a group of paranormal beings went rogue. They started to slaughter entire cities of humans, leaving nothing but death and destruction in their wake. They said that they were doing it to avenge their fallen ancestors who were killed by humanity.

A large portion of the paranormal community stood with these rebels. However, there were a few who still believed in what their ancestors had believed: the normal and the paranormal can live in peace. So, a small group of teenagers with these beliefs decided to stand against their own kind.

They might as well have been throwing rocks at lions.
