The first day.
Aah it was the end of 2019 when Emma found her first good friend that was actually a guy. His name was Bryan and he was quite the handsome young man. Bryan’s friends all knew he liked Emma but Emma wasn’t quite sure if she felt the same way. But she felt this way she doesn’t feel around anyone else but him. She wondered “Is this what being in love feels like” after class they both left; it was like they both hesitated Emma wanted to hug Bryan, but did she? Nope. Emma did not have the guts to do that. Especially if she wasn’t sure about the feelings he had towards her. And as time went on she met a new guy she thought he’d be the one too. Let’s call him Zion; Zion was an amazing friend that I only thought of as a friend and nothing else. Zion was one of Emma’s closest friends at that time, they talked and talked. But Emma’s enemy..well you can’t say enemy but one of the people Emma was not fond of liked Zion and disliked the fact that Emma was hanging out with Zion that much. But if I’m honest Zion never really liked Sarah. Then came the Grade 6 camp where a whole lot of drama happened AGAIN Sarah thought Zion and I were a thing just because Sarah was cold and so was Emma and Zion kinda gave Emma his jacket because Emma was his closest friend. And ever since that day Sarah lowkey hated Emma.
The next year it was Sarah’s birthday and Emma got a message from her best friend Julie, asking if Emma was she was going. Emma was confused because she didn’t receive any invite or anything. So Julie went to check with Sarah to see what’s up. At the end Emma ended up going to the party that Sarah didn’t even want her to be at...it wasn’t that awkward because Julie and Emma were basically alone while Nataly and Jayde were together. At this time Emma and Julie were trying to fix the bond they lost over the year before when Emma replaced Julie with her close friend Izekial. But they’ve been close for about almost half their lives which means their friendship would most probably last quite sometime. So they were basically separated from the rest because Julie and Emma weren’t fond with the rest of Sarah’s friends.
So school started and there was this brand new teacher in Julie and Jayde’s class. I was confused and I had absolutely no idea who she was. Her name was Teacher Madi.
She looked a bit lonely so Julie and the group we used to sit in went to go talk to her and she ‘ ‘seemed’ really nice until she somehow knew Emma’s name and all you’d hear is Ms Madi saying Emma’s name everywhere you’d see them together. Emma annoyed Ms Madi a lot, but Emma’s friends would call it an ‘obsession’ but honestly it was really not. Emma just wanted to be nice and shine her light on people’s lives. Which is why so many people had a lot of kind things to say about her; but that’s me speeding up a bit too much so let’s not do that. It was break number 4 so they went to sit by Teacher Madi because at that point with Emma in the group there was no way out of not seeing Madi because Emma had some type of bond with her that many of her friends still don’t understand. But we move on-
Madi changed my whole way of looking at her when she told us that Sarah was her favorite. Emma was so shocked and offended by the fact Sarah the person that hurt Emma the most was her favorite teacher’s favorite student. EMMA WAS HURT and honestly SO UPSET. But Emma got over it because she didn’t really care but she did at the same time aha.
AND THEN CAME LOCKDOWN
We were all trapped in our house because there was a world wide pandemic. But I still had contact with my favorite teacher, we video called with Zion and since then Zion and Emma had been calling and calling like there was some chemistry happening, but no one confirmed that. But there was a day they asked each other out and never really broke up. Which means they’ve technically been together for almost a whole year now..But then again we don’t talk about that either. Everyone assumed Emma and Zion were dating at that point. Did Emma like what she was hearing? Maybe.. we don’t answer those questions either...and then after a whole 4 months later we were back at school. Well Zion wasn’t because his mom wanted him to do online school because going to school during a pandemic can get a bit overwhelming if you ask me. Emma missed Zion’s laugh and creepy deep voice that made her feel happy on the inside; she really loved him even though she assumed he didn’t love her the same way back but the way when he saw her, the way his eyes sparkled and the warmth in his heart when seeing her smile.
Is that what love is? Emma always wondered to herself. As time moved on she found so many people to ask advice from.
She has this amazing ‘older sister’ like figure in her life; her name was Kelly, Kelly told Emma to not have boyfriends too soon; you’ll miss out on your childhood and amazing adventures you could have by yourself with friends and family instead of being stuck on the phone to this fantasy of a boy that might just hurt you at the end. That was one of the best advice Emma received in a while. She took it for a while until she met this incredibly handsome young man his name was Dylan. Dylan had the most beautiful smile, his eyes were like a pot of honey and his hair was so soft and he was just so beautiful. He asked Emma to be his girlfriend and you have no idea how happy she was. At this point Emma realized she was a simp. Emma and Dylan dated for exactly 30 days and Emma decided to break up with Dylan just a day before their 1 month anniversary..and Emma was so cold to date someone on their one month anniversary, Aaah Zach with the most charming smile, beautiful hair and the most amazing eyes. Emma fell in ‘love’ but Emma wasn’t really feeling it because she just broke up with the first guys she’s ever said the words ‘I love you’ to; let me just say that Emma said it just the night after they got together. Emma stopped feeling the ‘love’ when exams started and she thought she met the love of her life.
LEVI WAS HERE.
Emma found a guy that made her love herself, they’re basically the exact same person. Just Emma’s like why cooler..Levi was such a gentleman and treated Emma like a queen. She stayed up for nights and nights talking to him about her favorite teacher and all the things that happened involving her. It took her sometime to try and figure out if she was actually in love with this guy. So she had an amazing wing man Zoe to message Levi and help encourage him to agree. He was not smart so didn’t understand what was going on. But I acted just as surprised; but this guy was different from the others. He showed me love without even saying the words. We even had our own song..that if you listen to the lyrics- it’s a song people in relationships would usually listen to..so umm aha
THE DANCE OF DOOM
Levi and I were super close until the night of our school dance came..things went bad when Levi wasn’t taking note of me so I chilled with Izekial because Julie was at a resort in Joburg at this time. I actually missed her there. Well Levi was with his amazing ‘friend’ Ivy. Ivy never really liked Emma because of how close she was with Levi. But Emma never really cared about what people thought of her because she just wanted to live her life the way it should be lived without getting judged and hated for everything you do. Emma looked pass people that did that because it would just make Emma feel bad about herself and make her fall back into an unsafe mental state that she was in for at least a month.
Emma was messaging her friends Hannah and Amy during the dance because Emma was not having any fun, because the person she called the ‘love of her life’ was dancing with someone else. So she just sat there talking and talking till her and Levi’s song played; but guess what...Levi was singing it with Ivy. At that point Emma’s heart was shattered and she wanted to go home. But Emma didn’t really show her pain she just sat there wearing a mask..not the ones you’re supposed to; she was wearing a mask of a fake smile that she had to wear in order to act happy while she felt devastated on the inside.
When the dance was over Emma left and ran straight to her room and cried; Emma isn’t really one to show her tears and if she does it means she’s really hurt..which at that time she was. She thought she was losing her best friend and the person that she’s actually loved to some girl that doesn’t even take note of her existence. Hannah, Amy and Julie were giving me reasons to hate him. I can’t find a place in my heart to hate anyone. Everyone is human and not everyone will love me the way I love them. And I’ve learnt to understand that, that’s okay. That night Emma sent Levi an entire paragraph saying how she felt about getting left alone. And what did Levi do? He left her on read. So she ended up not talking to him until he decides to message her first. And she waited; well if I’m honest she didn’t really have to wait that long. They solved their problems and became close once again-
THE LAST DAYS
Emma, Levi and Izekia left the school to go to the spar near the school. But when we left the gates immediately closed- which was bummer and Emma was quite scared umm because ‘what if we get caught’ But we didn’t; thank goodness for that!!
THE ZION AND LEVI INCIDENT
Earlier that week......Bryan confessed his feelings towards Emma; and Emma didn’t really know what to say because she still had feelings for all three of them which kind of changed a lot of things between the three of them-
Well yeah; Zion decided to mess with Levi’s head and ask Levi dumb questions about me to see if Levi really cares about me..Levi obviously answered and things started getting hectic.
Zion asked stupid things like if he could borrow me, just to mess with Levi; and Levi lowkey wants to murder Zion because of how stupid he is. Yeah-
This is lowkey my love life...for now 🙈
