Chapter One :- Easy Streets
It’s four O’clock in the morning when her first cry was heard. With a sharp scream she made the announcement that she had arrived. She is now finally handed to her mother. Drops of water streamed down her mother’s face like a happy river. Small and white like a Jasmine. Liza with murmured the name in the baby girl’s ear. JASMINE.
10:35 am, Ryan came to see his little bundle .When he arrived, Liza just woke up, but the little one was in the land of dreams, sleeping. Ryan hasn’t been so happy throughout his life. Too small to fit in his hands. She slowly clutched his fingers. Her first deed made her parents smile. “Thank you so much Liz.”, ”What are you talking about, she came to me, because of you.”
High school sweethearts they were. Most famous couple of their time. Liza and Ryan were just twenty one when they got married. It’s been almost eleven years now. Wind was their first child, but he was only nine months old when Liza and he met a car accident. Wind died over there. Liza took months to recover physically and years to recover mentally. It was last autumn when she finally became enough strong to bring a new life in her own one. Ryan was so excited when he got the news Liza will become a mother again, with his own child. He was with her from the age of eleven, when they met. When she was under the grief of losing her child. He was with her, was there to motivate her, when he himself was broken with the same pain. He encouraged her to move on. Start a new life and be that cheerful lady again. Now whenever he is look at his girl, his eyes are becoming watery. Suddenly Liza busted into tears and said, ”She will never leave me right?”. Ryan with a heavy heart said,” No she won’t, never.”
Brought home, days passed by. Little jasmine can now sit up on her own. Her small achievements are making Liz and Ryan more proud of her. One day Liza was finding her purse and finding it everywhere. Jasmine crawled and reached the place where it was kept. That was first day when she crawled. Her first walk almost gave Liza a heart ache. She was tired was taking a small nap. Ryan was at work. Jasmine woke up ,got down the bed and started taking her first steps. Reached the door, and was staircase near the door. That is when Liza woke up and saw her. Jasmine was near the stairs, almost about to fall, that is when Liza rushed and grabbed her. Over there she hugged her and started crying, as it reminded of that day when Wind left her. Throughout the rest of the afternoon she cried. After this she never took naps when Ryan was not at home. That day when her husband came back home, she told him this whole incident about Jasmine. That’s when she realized, Jasmine walked for the first time. Ryan took jasmine on his shoulders and walked throughout the house. Another moment when he was so proud of her.
Now she is four and started going to a preschool. So energetic and cheerful. Always talking and smiling and jumping like a little bird who doesn't only have wings to fly. Liza’s whole days revolves around her . Preparing her for school, feeding her, taking her to school, buying her favorite snack, helping her with her homework, telling her bedtime stories. After her birth she didn’t went back to work as she wanted to dedicate her whole time to jasmine and be with her all the time. Ryan agreed to Liza’s idea.
17th June 2005, Jasmine’s fifth birthday. Ryan had to go to office. He woke up before Jasmine. Got ready. Liza cooked her breakfast, he ate them. Then before leaving he kissed on Jasmine’s forehead and whispered,” Happy birthday my girl.” In her ears which gave her a smile on her face though she was in deep sleep. Liza came to say him bye. They kissed and then he went to work. Liza went to kitchen to do last night's dishes.
Five years old Jasmine woke up and came to kitchen. Hugged Liza from her back and said, ”Mamma, Good monning, itz my bilthday”." Good morning dear. Yes honey, it's your birthday and I love you a lot.",Then Liza took her up and adored her. Cooked her, her favourite breakfast, pancakes with chocolate syrup . Gave her a bath and dressed her up in a pink floral dress. A pink band on her head. She was looking like a Disney princess. Both of then baked a cake. Decorated it with colourful sprinkles. Then started cooking meals as they kept a small get together for Jasmine. Just before evening dressed in white dress she was looking stunning. Jasmine also dressed like her mother in a small white gown. Its now six O'clock in the evening. One by one the guest started coming. Ryan said he will join them before the guest comes.
