Chapter One
Natasha
Finally sinking into the comfort of my couch, Netflix ready and popcorn in hand. I buckle in for a relaxing night on one of my few nights off.
After watching Katniss volunteer in The Hunger Games for the 10th time I've seen this movie, I look at the time to see it's so much later than I expected. Looking at my phone to message my boyfriend, John, and see what's holding him up, my suddenly my phone rings.
Who on earth would call at 11 at night?
It's not a number I have saved...
"Hello?" I ask warily.
"Hey, Courtney! Just giving you a call like I said I would." The guy on the other end says a bit loudly in my ear.
"Umm... This isn't Courtney. I think you have the wrong number, sorry." I reply, just about to hang up.
"Ha. ha. Very funny. Do you wanna come down to the club? A bunch of us are still here." He says slurring slightly.
How attractive...
"Listen! I am not Courtney. My name is Natasha. I'm sorry to say mate, but I think you got blown off." I say feeling kinda bad for the guy.
The line goes quieter for a bit before I hear anything other than background music.
"Fùćķ! Are you serious?! What a bìťćh!" He says taking in a deep breath before he continues, "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to ruin your night, Natasha. Bye..."
Then the line goes dead.
After that random phone call, messaging John completely slips my mind. I'm used to him working into the night lately though, sadly enough.
I finish watching my movie before going to bed, all while I can't help think it's sad people aren't honest if they aren't interested in people.
The guy didn't seem too bad.
