New School
There I was driving to my new school Karasuno High School. I had just transferred to my 2nd year of high school. I missed the first 2 weeks of school because I was doing singing gigs for extra money. I pulled up in the school parking lot about 5 minutes before class started. I turn off my car and step out of my car and close the door behind me. I can feel everyone’s eyes on me and I just ignore them. I grab my guitar out of my car and put it over my shoulder. I start walking to the school building. I pull off the sunglasses that sat on the tip of my nose. I enter the school and everyone looks at me. I scoff and roll my eyes and continue walking trying to find the office to get my schedule. I hatted to admit it but I hated getting so much attention just because of my looks. I got lost trying to find the office and I noticed that nobody was in the hallways anymore. I start wondering around and I run into a boy about my height that had brown hair and his front hair was bleached. Next to him stood a male taller than me who was baldish and had greyish hair. They look at me and the short boy says “Are you new hair? You have too be because if you weren’t I don’t know how I would have missed a pretty face like yours.” I then say “Yes I am new here. I am looking for the office I need to get my schedule. Do you mind pointing me in the direction?” The male next to him says “Yeah beautiful the office is that way.” He points to the right of us and I say ” Thank you, My name is Y/N L/N.” He then says “My name is Ryūnosuke Tanaka but everybody calls me Tanaka.” The short boy then says “My name is Yuu Nishinoya but you can call me Noya.” I then say ” It was a pleasure to meet you 2 boys but I really should be on my way.” They both simultaneously say ” It was nice to meet you beautiful.” I then start walking in the direction to were they pointed the office at. I walk into the office and walk up to a woman behind a desk. She looks up and I recognize her as a family friend. She recognizes me and says “Ahh Y/n I was expecting you soon.” I then say “I didn’t know you worked her Mito” She then says “Yes I am the assistant principle and here is your schedule.” I grab the paper and she says “Do you know your way around the school yet?” I then say “No I haven’t memorized it.” She then says “I will have a student guide you too your classes.” I say ” That is fine and do you know if I can join the girls volleyball team?” She then says “The girls volleyball team is full and there is a waiting list but I might be able to get you into the boys team. I will ask and when I do I will update you. They might have try watching you and see how well you play but I am not sure.” I then say ” Thank you Mito I will try my hardest.” She then says ” I will have Asahi Azumane show you around. He also plays volleyball so you might have something in common and did I mention he’s cute.” I roll my eyes and smile and say “Really Mito, You try to hook me up with every person you find cute.” She then says “Well you need to find someone already. You are already 16 years old.” I then say “Says the single old woman. You need to find a man before you have to retire.” She fake pouts and says “Y/n why do you have to be so mean. I technically raised you and i’m not old i’m only 29.” I laugh at the face she was making and she then says “Let me call Mr. Azumane in here to walk you to your classes.” Mito grabs her office phone and call someone. I hear her say “Hello is this Ittetsu Takeda? Mhm...Can you send Asahi Azumane to my office I need him to help a family friend around. Mhm...Can you and the Coach come meet me in my office in about 10 minutes I need to talk too you both about volleyball. Mhm...Thank you.” She hangs the phone up and lets out a sigh. She looks at me and says “They will be on their way in about 10 minutes they finish up a practice match. While we wait may I ask about your singing career?” I sit down on a chair in front of her desk and I say “It has been good. I have made quite alot of money for papa’s business. I now play guitar when I sing and I excel in playing piano and so I played a gig about a month ago where I played the piano and sang.” Mito smiles and says ” I am so proud of you Y/n. You are so talented.” I smile and say “Thank you Mito. I have been working hard everyday. I practice the guitar and piano everyday for about 3 hours straight and its exhausting but I am handling it.” She looks at me with a face that I couldn’t read and she then lets out a loud sigh and says ” Y/n you know you don’t have to do extra then you have to do. Everyone already loves you and your beautiful voice is enough. You don’t have to play Guitar and piano when singing is exhausting enough. Please don’t push yourself just to please others.” I nod my head and say ” I just feel like everyone is expecting more from me. I don’t even remember what it feels like to sing what I want to sing. I don’t even have true friends anymore. I just want to blast music and sing without people tell me to sing certain songs.” Mito lets out a massive sigh and pushes out her chair from her desk and walks over to a cabinet nearby. She opens the cabinet and opens a drawer. I could hear keys making noise and I see her pull out a key that looked brand new. She keeps the key in her hand and she closes the drawer and cabinet. She then walks back to the desk and sits back on the chair. She looks me in the eye and sits the key on the table infront of me and her. She then says ” This is the key to a gym that has a stage. You can use the gym to sing, play piano, play guitar and perform whatever you want. You can use this gym whenever you want. You can use it if you get stressed, after school, and even during school. There is also a volleyball net in there so if you ever want to try hitting spikes or whatever.” I smile with tear in my eyes and I say ” Thank you so much Mito.” We both stand up and I hug her and she hugs me back. She then says ” If you want you can go to the gym now and I can handle your classes today since it seems like you are stressed right now.” I nod and tears fall out of my eyes and she says ” I will show you the gym now lets go. We will stop by the volleyball gym and tell them never mind.” I nod and we both walk out of her office. I wipe my tears so it looks like I wasn’t crying. I start calming myself down by humming a little song my father used to sing to me. Mito looks at me and smiles and says ” You still remember that song? It has been years since your dad sung that to you. You used to beg me to sing it to you.” I smile and say ” Yeah, I remember how I always begged you to sing it. I always sing it to calm myself down.” Mito turns a corner and I follow her. I continue humming and I hear her start singing the song

We then stop singing when we realize that we had already walked into the gym and everyone in there was now staring at us. Mito sweatdrops and says “Sorry to interupt but we no longer need Mr.Azumane. However we will be next door so if you need anything feel free to ask anything.” I notice that there are people there who weren’t from the school because they were wearing a different schools uniform.
