Short Story - Complete for now... Killian Harding is not your average teenage boy. He's a Great White shark. Held back by the fear of the monster inside him, will Killian be able to pursue the girl of his wet dreams? My eyes adjusted to the chlorine and my vision cleared. I was face to face with a enormous Great White shark! All the water I was holding in my lungs swooshed out in panic as I pushed myself back against the pool wall. Epilogue

Killian Harding

I sat in the sand whimpering like a fucking baby. I used my forearm to wipe the blood from my mouth as I stared down at the tooth that I had yanked from my mouth.

At thirteen, I was turning into a fucking monster. This stupid gene ran through my father's side of the family. Fucking merman? Maybe for some of our fucking kind but not mine. Not for me. We were killers.

"Hey. You okay? Killian right?" The angelic voice called me from the depths of my despair.

Looking up, I gazed into hazel eyes and sun kissed blonde hair. The sun silhouetted her figure like she had descended from the heavens to save me.

Her name was Carly Taylor. She is the hottest girl in school. Every guy he knew had a boner for her. Including myself. And here I was, a fucking mess.

She knelt down in her pink bikini and ripped jean shorts brushing my bangs away to see my face. I pulled back not wanting her to see my swollen red eyes.

She paused, surprised from my movement making me regret pulling away. What if this was my fucking chance to talk to her and I fucking blew it?

I fucking hate myself. I dug my feet into the sand hoping it would just swallow me up.

"Is that a shark tooth? Can I see it?" She said pointing to my tooth in my hand.

"Yeah." I murmured passing it to her. It was kinda weird giving it to her but I guess if I wasn't a shark, it would be normal human shit.

She took it between her thumb and four finger looking at it. "So freaking cool."

My heart swelled with her words. She thought it was cool. Carly fucking Taylor thought my shark tooth was cool. That moment, I fell in love with her.

"Can I have it?" She asked innocently with a slight blush on her cheeks.

All I could manage was a dumb nod.

She beamed. "Yes!"

She was so happy. Like she won a grand prize.

"Carly!" Her friends called. They had their beach towels in their hands as they headed back to their car.

Carly waved to them before gleaming back down at me. "Thanks Harding!"

With that, the love of my fucking life left. And all I could think about was talking to her again.

Let Killerrabbit know what you thought about this chapter!
