An Introduction

A friend had forwarded me his number. I didn’t want to message straight away. If he was who I thought he’d be, he’d only degrade me for being desperate. I wanted to meet and see if we got on first. So, I waited until the next day and asked if he’d be free for lunch. He messaged back.

Sure. Meet you in town?

How do you know where I live?

Oh, sweetie. I’ll be in Costa at 1.

OK. Sorry if I’m a little nervous.

You should be.

He seemed to know everything already. Were all submissives really that similar? I grabbed my keys and left the house, completely unsure if this was a good idea but my instincts seemed to be forcing me in his direction.

I got there 10 minutes early like I usually do when I’m meeting someone. Everyone that came through the door was making me jump. Then I saw a guy walk in on his phone. Ginger hair slightly stuck up at the back. Reminded me of a parakeet but I daren't say that to his face. Grey jumper, plain shirt, black trousers a little too tight for him. He ordered a coffee and waited. I got a message.

Aren’t you going to come and say hi?

Wasn’t sure if I was allowed!

I’m hardly gonna pin you against a wall in front of all these people, am I?

I wasn’t entirely sure. It was 50/50. He turned around to look at me and smirked to himself as he saw the blush on my face. He gestured to come over. He’d ordered me a drink too.

“How’s a regular tea sound?”

“Perfect. How did you guess my order?”

“I’m friends with your friend. Do you not think I asked?”

“I didn’t think she’d tell you.”

“She didn’t want to...”

He handed me my cup and began leading the conversation, my mouth seemed to have forgotten how to form words in his presence. “So, I presume you wanted to meet me before I hurt you? Most of the girls do, I’m pretty used to it. Nice to come out during the day, I feel like a bit of a vampire sometimes.”

“Yeah, pretty much. I trust you cause my friends do, if they thought you were unsafe and I mean like - creepy murderer unsafe, not our unsafe-”

He held up a finger and I instantly stopped talking. His eyes flickered. I gulped.

“You’re rambling sweetie.” He picked his coffee up.

“Sorry, I do that when I’m nervous.”

“Noted. I’ll dig out my gag collection.”

I sipped slowly and tried to focus on his eyes. It was like something had switched. He had blue eyes with a dark green embedded in it and the more he wanted to hurt me, the bluer they got. Like he was trying to see through me, to my thoughts, to figure out what would make me dripping wet in public.

“So, do I meet your expectations? Is this who you thought I’d be?”

I nodded and put my tea down. “Sort of. I expected more athlete than nerd.”

The second I’d said it I felt his eyes lock onto me, my body shivered. “Brave words little girl,” he almost growled it, “I’m plenty fast enough - if you want to run.” I started to smile instead of hiding away in the corner of the booth. He was someone I wanted to play with, someone that had the ability to tease and scare me. He could do so much worse than make threats.

“I won’t. This time round. Promise.” I bit my lip slightly; I didn’t realise until he told me I was doing it.

Apparently, it bothered him.

“Get up. Follow me.”
