Prologue

"Hahaha, c'mon sis, I didnt mean it like that. Just look at you, your life is so perfect. Perfect family and a perfect job. I'm the loser here." Emily said as she face times with her elder sister Julia

"Don't talk like that. At least you have a perfect boyfriend. When is that dude gonna propose?" Julia asked

Emily made the I don't know kind of face, she replied,

"I think he's gonna pop the question on my birthday. I can't wait to say yes. Justin is the perfect man for me. We gonna have a simple fairytale wedding at the beach, go for our honeymoon and live happily ever after just like Mom and Dad, also you and Dave."

"Hm marriage isn't all rosy you know"

Emily cuts in immediately,

"You tell me about it. Its just a few arguments and much more happy moments. Love never fades"

Julia smirks.

Emily continues, "Hope you guys are coming back for my birthday?"

"Sure, its been long I visited."

"Come with your better half too"

"Of course"

An hour later, Emily went out to the mailbox and took out all the mail and went back inside. She checked the mail and none was addressed to her. She noticed a big envelope addressed to her mom. She called out,

"Mom, there's a mail for you"

"Is that so?" Mrs brown replies as walked into the sitting room."Read it out to me dear" she requested.

Emily opens the envelope and met the shock of her life. She stayed blankly at the paper.

"What is it dear?"

"M...oom"

"You are scaring me" Mrs brown collects the paper. She also stared blankly at the paper. They both looked at each each other and said together "divorce papers".
