Introduction
The Jackman Brothers Circus was well known to be the best circus around, but unlike regular circuses it kept its own schedule. They would be active for a couple of years and then not for five or active for a few months and nothing for a decade or two. Jackman Brothers rarely went to the same place twice and of the three locations that made the claim, two of them had been proven to be a hoax. Though throughout the years there had been many discussions across the country and investigations into the matter, the simple fact was that no one knew when the circus would take to the road or where it would show. The only way you could know for sure was if The Herald came to your town. It was said he arrived the day before the circus would drop tents onto soil. This story tells the tale of the time when the Herald was ill and he didn’t really know why....
