Introduction
"What a World We Live In” is a collection of lyrical poetry based on my interpretation of events and experiences in the world. Though most of the poems highlight the world negatively, I do not believe the world to be so terrible. The negative highlighting is intentional to point out changes that are possible in this climate of seeking an overall change in the world. I have seen negative opinions on the world that forget the possibility of change and the opportunity as people of the world, and to a degree, I hope my writing inspires the readers and unite in the effort to improve the world, because if it takes a village to raise a child, then it takes thousands and millions to raise this child, our world.
