The very word that had been transpiring in my mind for weeks. There's no place like home indeed. I look about around searching for big bue doe eyes and holding a teddy bear with a pointy heart and there my eyes finally landing on her my sweet baby Ana, it takes a while for her to notice me and she squeals all around making the others in the group follow the direction of her hand.
"That's aunt Isabella " she yelled to the others.
All i could see was exciting faces across the room. I mentally laughed at their childish behaviour. I made my way towards engulfing each of them in a long hug. "I missed you all,you can imagine " i said. "We know that's why not even one of us missed to welcome you" Thelma said. Yep that's my buddy;we've kmown each other from birth and to be honest I couldn't have done it without her.
"Come on fellas let's go in for some pizza" i yelled.
Wait i can't seem to find my locket. I search frantically around but i couldn't find it, then it clicked i had bumped into an old woman earlier at the restroom. "You know guys i would be back within a second ". I rushed off to the restroom.
I have searched the entire area and I can't find it. Where else had i been, oh yes i returned the old woman's purse to her at the parking lot. Quickly I wentther ,I seaed under almost evry car when I found it under ablack Mercedes Benz car. "There you are you gave me such a fright " i said as i dusted ithe dirt off. I turned around to take my leave when I stopped in my track, I turned around and gasped loudly, "Oh my God is this how I look ". My hair came out loosely from my band making i me look like a wet chicken ,there's a little bit of dirt on the bridge of my noseand there are small beads of sweat on my forehead giving me an additional loo. "Great that's great ". I took my handkerchief out and cleaned the dirt off, the fixed my hair into an afro. After being satisfied by tmy look, I started making faces at my reflection. Then my cell phone started ringing, "shit" i cursed out immediately. I checked the caller Id and knew it was Thelma I hunged up and started jogging my way back.
"Hey guys am sorry for the delay am all good now, let's go home ".
This few days has been hectic after losing Maxwell . Coming back from his funeral I intended to go home to Michaela, she needs me now . The poor girl is now an orphan, I had sworn to Maxwel and lizzy that I'll take care of her now she's mine and no one will be able to touch her. Suddenly I turned to look outside when I saw her it was just a glimpse but I swear it was like time had stopped and it was just her and I. To say she is beautiful is an understatement she's breathtaking and I could feel my buddy down there twitching. She's what I call an epitome of beauty.
"Park the car right here and call Xavier I've not got all day",I said. "Yes boss ".
I sat there getting impatient as a took a glance at my watch for the tenth time. Suddenly a shadow fell across my face, I raised my head and saw her,my beauty . She was trying to fix her disheveled state and funny enough she started making faces which undeniably made her cute and that made me chuckle at her carefree behaviour, suddenly her cell phone rang and I saw her retreating form. I mentally groaned at the interruption and felt for the first time my heart swelling like I have been bewitched. Xavier came in breaking my thought, "Hey Nick sorry for keeping you waiting I had some few things to do..""Just shut up and let get down to business ". I couldn't focus on a thing as my mind kept drifting to her. I vowed to make her mine. Mine.
