Chapter 1

A/N This is just the prologue but chapter one will be coming soon.

Welcome to my wonderful world of wackiness. Grammar tips are always appreciated however please don’t get angry about my spelling and grammar. I use Grammarly as much as I can but that doesn’t always catch everything.

I would also like to say that everything in this book is from my own head and comments saying that I have stolen things from other people have made me take down stories before even though I knew that I had never copied anything before.

On a similar note please do not steal my works. If you wanna use a general idea that is fine but just tell me first. Have a great day and enjoy my story.

Prologue

Contrary to human knowledge the first world war did not take place in the early 1900s. It actually took place from the early 1780s until the middle of the 1850s. The war is referred to as the Bellum de lupus which is Latin but when it’s translated from the early manuscripts it means the war of the wolf.

When the werewolf world first started a few hundred years after humans first roamed the earth they were 1000 strong and all ruled by the moonlight packs alpha king. And the monarchy worked for centuries until werewolves were spread all throughout the world.

Then rebellion struck. Packs from all over the world decided that they were not going to follow the orders of one man anymore so they banned together and attacked the alpha king’s pack. After seventy-three years four-packs finally managed to defeat the rebellion and split the world into quarters, each of them ruling a piece.

The packs created were Full Moon, based in Russia, New Moon, based in Australia, Crescent based in brazil, and the most ruthless of them all Blood Moon based in Canada.

The real savior of the war was a female runt named Kerala; she had the power of divine sight and moonlight. She gave her life to save the wolves.

But in her final moments, she delivered a prophecy to her mate. The prophecy stated that the war was not truly over and when it started again the only hope of an alpha winning was an omega runt Who would have the power of moonlight darkness sight and eternal fire in her veins.

But as it always does time twisted the prophecy into a jumbled mess causing the witch faction to interfere.

There aren’t truly only three ranks in the werewolf world. Well technically there are but alpha and omega can be split up into different classes.

Take alpha for example. You have your alpha born alpha kings. True alphas born into one of the four moon packs destined to become the next alpha. Unlike most wolves who shift closer to the end of middle school when they hit puberty. Alpha king’s shift at the age of ten and that is when they start their training. There is a female version called an alpha queen.

The second type of alpha is an alpha born strongest. ABS’s happen when an alpha pairing has more than one child and the firstborn is not the next alpha in succession. An ABS is usually male but in rare cases, if the firstborn is a male a stronger female can take over his role if she is born with an ABS mark.

The third alpha is Alpha Born Passive. ABP’s are any alpha born child who is not going to take over in the line of succession. So if they are not either of the above or a firstborn.

The fourth type of alpha is a lower born alpha. Lba’s happen multiple times each pack each generation. These wolves have a strong connection with the future alpha of the pack and vary in power which determines their ranking as the alphas seconds and thirds. A powerful enough alpha can have up to three thirds and five seconds.

Omegas can be broken up into two groups. The first is just regular omegas but the other section is the runts.

Another piece of info from the war. A witch working for the rebellion heard of the prophecy and cursed all of the future runts of the world.

Because of that witch runts are different. Runts are very emotion controlled. And the slightest thing can set them off. Most runts have severe anxiety and are very easily depressed. They are affected by the phases of the moon. Being stronger on a full moon and becoming extremely weak and tired during the new moon similarly If a runt gets too cold or too hot they will slip into a hibernation-like state until their temperature evens out or they die. Runts also need to be close to at least one alpha because they need a substance produced by alphas called valialumina (vally-ah-loo-min-ah). And runts can’t survive long without it.

However, another witch was able to give runts a defense mechanism. Because of the emotional problems they were connected to their wolf spirits even more so than alphas. But if a runt is too weak or they are panicked or angry their wolves will take over their human body and keep control until they are sure their human is away from any harm and is both physically and mentally strong enough to control their own body. More times than not if this does happen the runts never come back into their own state of mind.

Present time

A single small Canidae walks lazily through the near-silent woods. The animal, almost impossible to make out with its pure white coat in the snow, has a height of only about 14 inches at the shoulder and a length of about 3.2 feet. If it were to be spotted some might mistake it for a very large arctic fox.

However, if they managed to get close enough to inspect the creature they would realize that it is not in fact a fox but a very small female wolf. Its ribs were predominantly displayed, its coat is dull and coarse to the touch and they were part of the wolf’s coat where there was no fur at all. They may also notice that the lazy walking wasn’t out of carless relaxation but rather weakness.

The wolf stops at a frozen stream and steps on the thin ice creating a small hole for it to lap up a small amount of water from. Once she has had her fill she stumbles towards a nearby bush that holds its dwindling supply of berries. The wolf reaches up to the top of the bush and bites off two bundles of the red berries, careful not to allow any of them to fall off their branches. Once she is certain they will not fall out of her mouth she turns around and heads the way she came back to her small cave to eat her small lunch.

The wolf limps into the cave and sets the bundles in the corner. Leaving two of them and taking the third to her small nest of cloth first and branches to eat. She does so slowly savoring every bite. And when that bushel is gone she looks longingly at the ones she left in the corner but the wolf knows that she can’t eat those ones no matter how little the one bushel did to dull the hunger gnawing at her gut. Because if she does she will not have enough food to last her through another winter.

Now you may be wondering how the wolf knows this. It’s just a wolf, right? Well, I’ll let you in on a little secret if you had inspected the wolf as I did. You would have known the same thing I know. You would have known that she isn’t truly a wolf. She is a werewolf.Start writing here…
