Lily and The Marauders

Chapter 1

Lily

Our story begins at Cokeworth , England with the Evans Family mostly Lily Evans. Even at a young age Lily was a attractive , nice , caring , friendly , smart girl and she had red hair with almond shaped Emerald green eyes and she was always found with a book in her hands and she got along well with her family. But from time to time when she was mad or sad or happy strange stuff happened that no one could explain. Now our story starts.

The Morning sun was shining through the window as Lily folded her clothes and she thought about how yesterday went with her best friend Sammy Olsen and how they walked around Victoria park and then bought some ice cream and hung out. Lily really liked hanging out with Sammy he was kind and funny and always seemed happy and ready to make her laugh. Lily heard a loud crash then a shriek before she heard her sister Petunia yell.

“ Its for Lily , of course its for Lily she’s a FREAK! “

Then she heard her mums stern voice saying. “ Calm down Petunia and GO UP TO YOUR ROOM, You do not call your sister a freak. “

Then there was silence as Petunia stomped up the stairs and Lily quickly pretended she didn’t know what was happening.

“ Your mother wants you and your freakiness. “ Petunia said glaring at Lily as if this was her fault as she made it to the top of the stairs and peeked in her room before walking down the hall to her own room.

Lily rolled her eyes and didn’t seem hurt by Petunia’s words since everyday she was called a freak ever since Lily at the age of seven made The carpet fly up in the air and Petunia fell down on her butt as the carpet fell on top of her. Lily didn’t know what happened but Petunia was convinced it was her cause they got in an argument and Lily was angry at the time. Lily closed her drawers and went downstairs and turned the corner passing the dining room were her dad was watching tv on the couch and entering the kitchen. Her mother wore a a collared shirt and pants and had her long brown hair in a bun along with makeup.

Then there was a man in a green tuxedo with black piercing eyes and a smile he was tan colored skin with a bowler hat atop his head. He smiled as Lily walked in and handed her a letter that had a shield with four squares each a different color red and gold , silver and green , blue and bronze and yellow and black. Then there was in big letter Hogwarts written above and as Lily opened the letter and read it she became shocked.

Dear Lily Evans

We are pleased to inform you your a witch and you will attend Hogwarts on September 1st. Here is your list of things for Diagon alley.

Lily re read the letter again and again thinking this was a mistake and she cast a glance at her mother and Mr Heart waiting for them to smile and say joking. But they did not and Lily spoke up.

“ This has to be a joke, Im not a W-Witch theres another explanation to my weirdness. “

Even as Lily said it she knew it wasn’t true she was a witch thats why she was did all that freaky stuff. But she didn’t want to be Extraordinary she wanted to be normal. But then again Sammy and Gabe were her only real friends and maybe if she goes to this Hogwarts as mentioned from the letter she will be ordinary and just a common Witch and she can meet new friends. As she was thinking this she realized Mr Heart had been talking and she listened to what he said.

“ _Witch and you will attend Hogwarts, you see when you get to King Cross station you must run through the barrier in between Platform 9 and 10 and do not tell your muggle friends about this___ “

Then he realized she didn’t know what a muggle was and quickly explained. “ Muggle means non magic person and you are Muggle born__ “

He continued when he saw her face go into confusion again. “ Which means you come from a non magic family and don’t worry that doesn’t make you different and finally heres the map to Diagon Alley. “ He said as he handed her mom a map and he waved goodbye before disappearing right on spot.

Lily seemed to be overwhelmed and before her mother could talk about this she realized she must get prepared for Hogwarts and was kinda excited as she ran up the stairs thinking to herself. Im a Witch that explained everything the carpet incident and for once Petunia calling her freak wasn’t so bad and she will make new friends. Lily seemed sidetracked as she went into her room and then she remembered that she was here to look at the calendar on her wall and she realized today was August 31st and she shouted down to her mother.

“ Mom we have to go to Diagon Alley today i start school tomorrow! “

My mom sighed and said. “ Get your money and make sure to bring a bag. “ Lily grinned and grabbed a bag from her closest before running out of her room and down the stairs only to be stopped by Petunia.

“ If you leave to go to that freak school, imma not claim to be your sister anymore. “

Lily pushed past her wiping tears as Petunia shouted freak at her before barging out the door. Her mom followed her as she muttered some stuff Lily didn’t ever want to hear. Her moms brown hair was hanging loosely and he makeup was gone as she got in the car and said.

“ Buckle your seatbelt Lily dear, “

Lily felt the car halt to a stop as her mother got out of the car an opened the door taking in the place she was at which was a old place with a sign hanging sideways that read the Leaky Cauldron and the doors were wooden with fancy designs and Lily felt excited as she was about to enter the wizarding world. Lily ran toward the doors and pushed it open and it was a hotel it seemed with two stair cases leading to upstairs where there seemed to be rooms. There was also a bar with a old man who had gray hair and scary eyes but he had a friendly smile and sitting on the bar chairs were two hags were sitting down and Lily took one look at their face and wished she hadn’t but she was happy to see that the Magical world was real.

Her mother was also taking in the scene and Lily realized there were tables scattered everywhere with wizards and witches talking and that the old man at the bar was walking over to them.

“ Hello who might you be? “ He said in a friendly tone.

Her mother answered in a happy tone. “ Im Eliza Evans and im a muggle while my daughter here is a Witch. We want to know where Diagon Alley is. “

She said the word Witch excitedly and immediately Lily knew her mother was proud to have a Witch in the family. The old man looked at Lily and then said.

“ Well my names Tom and follow me ill lead ya to Diagon Alley. “

Tom turned and reached in his pocket pulling out what looked like a wand then waving it at the two side doors and they blasted open and then he beckoned for Lily and her mother to follow him and when they burst into the sunlight again Lily noticed there was nothing but two dumpsters and a brick wall and when Lily was about to ask if he made a mistake he waved his hand for silence and tapped a middle brick making all the bricks shift and move and opening a hole in the brick wall that lead to a huge street with shops on either side and tons of Wizards and Witches and all sorts of creatures walking around and talking. Her mother gasped then looked down at Lily and smiled.

“ Where do you wanna go first Lily? “

Tom interrupted before she could respond. “ Well you need money so go to Gringotts first. Trade in your muggle money for real money and im sure the letter you received came with a key right? “

Tom looked at Lily and Lily reached in her pocket for the letter and pulled out the second piece of paper and a third paper that she stuffed back into her letter envelope but looked at her second paper that was her Ticket to the train and there was a key wich she picked up and listened to Toms Instructions carefully.

Lily left Gringotts with a pouch full of Knutts , Sickles and Galleons. Her mother patted her on the head then quickly kissed her cheek and said.

“ Well run along now and buy your things, But i expect you to be back by 10:30 at the Leaky Cauldron. “

Lily waved goodbye to her mother before heading down the street and first entering Flourish and Blotts and quickly checking her list before finding the books and paying ( Ten Galleons and five sickles ). Then Lily left while saying goodbye and entered Madam Malkins robes for all occasions and bought some robes and ( surprisingly some gloves and cauldron to ) Finally she left the store and walked up the street passing by some people before entering Ollivanders a Wand shop. Lily saw a old looking guys with startling blue eyes and crazy gray hair.

The door made a loud sound the rang through the shop as she opened the door to enter and he smiled as he said. “ Well hello have you come here to buy a wand, Now whats your name. “

Lily said in a somewhat sacred voice. “ Lily Evans. “

The guy chuckled and then he walked over to a box on a shelf and opened it and tossed the wand to Lily.

“ Now Lily give the wand a little wave ok? “

Lily waved the wand and a box flew out of the book shelf and then caught fire as Lily’s wand shot blue sparks at it. The guy smiled. “ Well it seems we’ve found your wand that’ll be five Galleons please. “

He held out his hand and Lily dug in her bag before bringing Five galleons left. Lily checked her pouch and realized there were only 24 knuts left 15 sickles and 12 Galleons. Lily left with her wand when she accidentally knocked in to someone and fell and before she could apologize the boy ( who had shaggy black hair and a long nose along with black eyes and he wore a black robe ) The boy said in disgust.

“ Watch it you Filthy Mudblood. “

“ Hey Snivellus she apologized to you and you just call her that how dare you. “

Lily turned around and saw a tall black haired boy with cute hazel eyes behind her pointing his wand at the boy he called Snivellus. The boy turned around and sneered at the newcomer.

“ Well if it isn’t James Potter the brawny idiot whom everyone loves. I don’t want Mudblood filth on my robes. “

He turned away and ran down the street. James looked at her and held out his hand. “ Need help? “

Lily shook her head confused by what a Mudblood is but still she knew it was a bad insult the way James reacted to it. Lily got up herself and then James said.

“ My names James Potter and that little kid was Severus Snape, Don’t mind him and I guess your Muggleborn then? “ He looked disgusted as he watched Snape run away.

“ My names Lily Evans and yes im Muggleborn, But theres nothing wrong with being Muggleborn is there? “ Lily said hesitantly.

James looked at her like she was crazy. “ Theres nothing wrong with being Muggleborn if wizards didnt marry Muggles then we would be dead and i don’t mind muggles or Muggle Borns i don’t care but some people like Snape think Muggleborns are bad and a disgrace. They are just idiots don’t listen to them. “

Lily smiled and shook his hand. “ I was gonna get myself a pet owl from the pet shop wann come with. “

James smiled and stuck his wand back in his pocket as he said. “ sure why not. “

Then a loud voice shouted. “ JAMES! “

A tall boy with shoulder length black hair and grey eyes and Lily had to admit he was handsome and he had sort of a lazy but casual elegance to him. When he saw lily he smirked.

“ Well then, You rather flirt with beautiful ladies then hang out with you friends James wow. “

Lily knew the boy was joking though from the look in his eyes. James went next to the boy and patted him on the back. “ Sirius its not like that she was bullied by Snape. “

It seemed that single name made Siruis’s joyful face turn into a snarl before he walked over to Lily.

“ Hey sweetie whats your name. “

Lily blushed at the name before saying. “ Lily Evans. “

He shook her hand and then said in a growl. “ what did Snape do to you? “

Lily stuttered but managed to say. “ He called me Mudblood. But its fine i don’t know what Mudblood means. “ She said shrugging.

Then another voice called. “ James, you have to be back by 10 : 45. “

Sirius laughed and then Lily built the courage to ask. “ Whatts your last name? “

Sirius stopped and stared at James whispered something that suspiciously sounded like Shes Muggleborn. Sirius looked calm and Lily wondered what was wrong with his last name.

“ My names Sirius Black. “

Lily shook his hand then giggled at his name and Sirius grinned. “ Welp seems like she likes me more than you James. Its true i am more charming and i always get jokes from my name. “

Lily rolled her eyes then James said. “ hey Lils wanna go around Diagon Alley with us. “

“ Sure why not. “

James , Lily and Sirius first went to the pet shop and Lily got a pet owl she named Apollo. The owl was big brown owl with blue eyes that reminded her of the sky. James bought a owl who was gray with yellow owl eyes and a heart shaped owl face. He named his owl Sam and Sirius was already running across the street toward the joke shop and Lily quickly dropped off some Galleons and sickles ( 10 Galleons and 4 sickles ) when she bolted off running to catch up with Sirius. James followed and they burst into the Joke shop. James started walking down the aisles and gestured for Lily to follow. James spoke first as they walked from aisle to aisle.

“ Since you dont know alot about the magical world i can tell you but lets go sit down at the tables Sirius isnt gonna leave this shop till her bought the whole store. “ James led her to a table and sat down.

“ Im a Pure Blood meaning I have wizarding Parents and so i can tell you all about the wizarding world. “

“ really ? “ Lily asked sitting on the bench of a table and ignoring the stares she was getting.

“ I’ve known Sirius since a child so he can tell you all about the wizarding world as well. But sometimes don’t trust the stuff Sirius tells you it could be full of baloney. “

Lily giggled and then Sirius walked up to them and said. “ Charming Lips are we James. “ he said wiggling his eyebrows.

Both their faces turned red then Sirius changed the topic. “ James they have Hermes V now in the Quality Quidditch supplies. “

They started talking about a sport called Quidditch and lIly listened silently as they talked about the new Hermes V and how it was the best broom since the Blazing Sweeps. Then James realized Lily was there and he said. “ What do you think about Quidditch Lils? “

Lily stared at him and began to cry as she ran away from the table. She just wanted to be normal and she didn’t even know what Quidditch is. Then she felt a hand on her shoulder and turned to see James.

“ Hey i know that your Muggleborn and dont know alot about the wizarding world but we can be friends and help you so you feel included. “’

“ Wow James well said. “ Sirius was standing their leaning against a wall raising his eyebrows and it seemed like had a stash of supplies in his arms. “ But James is right of course we will each you everything you need to know about the wizarding world and we will be your friends if you want. “

Lily raised an eyebrow. “ what if i don’t wanna be your friends. “

Sirius stepped loser grabbing her hand and said grinning. “ Oh you will no one can resist the Charming Sirius Black. “

Lily rolled her eyes as James and Sirius laughed. The next hour Lily had the most fun in her whole life they all pushed their carts filled with their hogwarts stuff. James and Sirius kept making her laugh and they taught her about Quidditch as they entered Quality Quidditch supplies and admired every broom from the Hermes V to the Nimbus 1900. Then they looked at the time and realized that it was time to go so Lily ran with James and Sirius to the leaky cauldron where Lily’s mother was. James tapped her on the shoulder and said.

“ Cya on the Hogwarts Express and you’ll easily find us we will be the lunatics waving and shouting your name. “

Lily giggled and said her goodbyes to James and Sirius and then ran to hug her mother then she heard.

“ Well you must be Lily’s mother. “

Lily turned and saw James and Sirius there smiling. Lily’s mother shook both there hands and said. “ Why yes i am. “

Sirius grinned as he kissed her hand. “ Well we are her best friends and Im just gonna say you have a nice , pretty , and smart daughter. “

Lily watched as her mother smiled down at Lily who was clinging to her leg. “ Well yes im quite aware of that. “

James spoke up. “ Well if you have any questions about the Wizarding world you can ask our mom. “

James and Sirius left and then turned around again and said. “ Bye Lils. “

“ Bye James and Sirius. “ Lily responded.

Lily’s mom looked at her and said. “ What nice young men they were.”

Lily rolled her eyes but was glad she had friends then her mother checked her watch and frowned. “ Oh no the train leaves at 11 am and we need to leave right now its 10 45 am. “

Lily ran with her mother to the car and left the cart on the street as she put all her Hogwarts stuff in the trunk then placed her Apollo’s cage beside her in the car before checking her letter and told her mom.

“ Mom the station is Kings cross station. “ Lily said quickly but her mother smiled.

“ That only takes two minutes to get there. “ Her mom said then she shouted. “ Buckle Up “

Lily kissed her mother on the cheek and she heard two shouts and turned to be tackled by James and Sirius. Lily laughed and said. “ Wow you shouldn’t be that happy we just saw each other like two minutes ago. “

James and Sirius led her to the train and boarded it while Lily stuck her arm out the window as te train picked up speed to say bye to her mom. Then Lily followed James and Sirius into a compartment and sat down and they all began talking excitedly. The compartment door opened once more and a light brown haired boy with blue eyes and he had some scars on his face that Lily didn’t understand why. The boy sat next to Lily and then said.

“ Sorry , every other compartment is full and my names Remus Lupin by the way. “ He said.

James shook his hand and said. “ My name is James Potter this is Sirius Black and that Little girl is Lily Evans. “

After that they started talking and joking and they played this game were they each took turns saying their first and last name , their favorite color , two adjectives that describe you , your favorite thing to do and something about yourself no one else knew. The game went on forever but Lily learned that Remus liked books and pulled pranks a lot but he was also smart to. When it was Lily’s turn she answered all the questions and then they asked her ton of questions about being a muggle. The compartment opened once more and a short boy who was chubby and looked scared , A girl with long dark hair and brown eyes who sat down next to Remus and another girl with brown hair and blue eyes she had her nose in a book and she seemed to have thin eyebrows with long curly hair who sat next to Sirius. The last girl to enter was a blonde with piercing brown eyes and shaggy hair who sat next to James.

James smiled and said. “ Well what are your names. “ he asked the blonde next to him.

The blonde responded. “ My names Megan Turner and the black haired girls name is Kelly White while the Brown haired is Alexis Beckendorf and i think this little boys name is Peter Pettigrew. “

After that James , Sirius , Remus and Lily introduced themselves and that began the spark of a new friendship and they all talked as if they were all best friends.

“ So is this your first year to. “ Lily asked curiously.

“ Yes. “ said Alexis , Kelly and Megan.

Personally Lily was happy she found a whole group of friends and then Kelly said. “ what house do you guys wanna be in. “

Lily was confused and they must’ve seen it cause Alexis said “ Your Muggleborn? “

Lily nodded and then Megan sat up and said in disgust to Lily as she left. “ I should’ve known I don’t want to share a compartment with a lousy arrogant lazy Filthy Mudblood. “

James , Remus and Sirius sat up quickly But Sirius acted first and glaring at Megan shouted. “ Theres nothing wrong with being Muggleborn and dont you dare call her that insulting name she is the smartest , kindest , awesomest and many more person i know and I wont let you say that to my friend your just a stuck up selfish rich jerk. “

Megan looked stunned for a moment then was about to flee when Lily stood up and said. “ Oh and Megan You should try eating some Makeup so at least you can be pretty on the inside. “

Everyone laughed and then James said. “ Also Megan Lily is ten times better than you and leave her alone. “

Megan left and then Remus spoke up. “ Does anyone else have a problem with Lily being Muggleborn. “

Peter and all the girls went silent then Kelly spoke up. “ I don’t have a problem with being Muggleborn i have so many friends who are Muggleborn. “

And after that Alexis , Kelly , Peter , James , Sirius and Remus became best friends and the rest of the train ride they were joking and explaining some stuff to Lily about the wizarding world and when the trolley came they all combined money to pay and thats when Lily started collecting chocolate frogs who had cards in them and she got a wizard named Albus Dumbledore who Alexis informed her was the Headmaster of Hogwarts and the greatest wizard who Voldemort feared. When Lily asked who Voldermort was Alexis told her that he was a evil dark wizard who wanted to rid the world of Muggleborns and that ended the conversation. But Lily finally felt like she was home and she was glad to have friends and was happy and curious of the wonders the magical world had to offer.
