ᴀ ᴍᴀᴘ ɴᴏᴡʜᴇʀᴇ ʙᴜᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴇɴᴅs ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ ᴇᴀʀᴛʜ

Friday, January 12 2021.

The aggressive cold rain had suddenly stopped falling on my umbrella. I looked up, only to see the black starry sky slowly transubstantiate into a blue, greyish mixture. As I continued my slow walking, I slowly started to limp grabbing almost anything for support, suddenly my shoes became soaked. I looked down at what happened to be a deep, rain puddle only to see my debilitated reflection. I closed my umbrella and continued to walk, not with-standing the fact that I injured my leg on my way to the MOWC offices.

As I was looking around, I found a bus stop as I slowly got closer, my saturated eyes made out what seemed to be a man leaning against the bus request pole. He was quite tall, he was also wearing what seemed to be a black t-shirt with a jean jacket, along with black ripped jeans where both his kneecaps were revealed. He had black Timberlake boots, completely drenched in rain water, as though it was not a complete surprise as for the man was standing right in a muddy puddle.. But, something about the man seemed different.
“Don't you think It's a bit churlish to stare at a stranger?. May I ask your reasons for being out this late madam?.” said the man.
I was in complete perturbation, as some sweat slowly subsided off my face into non-existence.
Completely forgetting to answer the man's question. my eyes wander into the uncondensed hollowness of the dark tentenless bus stop.

“Hello?” the man said, I shifted my attention towards the voice.
“Oh my deepest apologies, I spasmodically space out sometimes,” I said nervously.
“Oh, no worries, I completely understand. I mean who wouldn't space out during all that's happening these days.” said the man.
“Oh right!” I said as I chuckled quietly but somehow loud enough for him to hear me.
“What's your name?” he said with full intrusiveness and curiosity.
“Eunoia, Eunoia Smith.” I said with a kind, amiable smile.
“Jimin” he said as he showed a facile smile.
I limped towards Jimin, obliged to know more about this man. After minutes passed, waiting for the next bus to come, I came to know quite a lot about jimin. But exactly when he asked me anything about myself, I'd just give him a one-word answer.
I revised my eyes off of rowin towards the direction of the bus’s screeching brakes.
“Well, there's the bus.” Jimin said. “Right, shall we get going?.” I said. “Oh you go ahead I'll catch the next bus.” he said. I nodded and got on the bus waving goodbye to the man.
