A peak into an experienced goon's mind
"The plot is a little overly done, in terms of 'this is basically twilight with a twist,' but it is still enjoyable as it comes with a couple of unforeseeable turns. I would recommend this book to an introvert. People who listen to sad music in public and alternative music in private. One thing that I don't enjoy, however; and you can call be "woke" for this, but we once again have a damsel in distress. Unknowingly dug herself into a ditch and needs a man to come thru. This I truly do not enjoy. At every turn, I was expecting Caesar to be the one who would save her, and in the first few chapters... to my surprise it was Sal who came thru time and again. But after that, And as far as I am now; our boi Caesar has been doing the most, up until where I am now in the story; which is chapter 7. So, I'd like to see a change in that narrative in future. We have a strong female character already; the head of the de Guilo's house. I'm looking forward to seeing her in action, despite her aged persona. "
