Tales of a Shifter Pt 1
"The concept and characters of this story are great. It is a unique story line and the characters grow and evolve the further you get. There are some parts that drag on in this first installment, such as what feels like the brothers taking hours to argue while Brandon is supposedly hovering on the brink of death. It does build the tension. I was on the edge of my seat so many times throughout the story, but the suspense last a bit too long in spots. The grammatical errors are the other thing that detract from this lovely book. They are pretty straight forward mistakes that catch the eye, but I still managed to figure out everything the author was trying to convey. I am looking forward to the completion of this story with great anticipation."
Amazing
"This story is amazing. I'm on the edge of my seat reading it. Everytime I think I've figured out what's going on, there's a twist. It's a well written story with considered plot, definitely not the cliche cookie cutter stuff you often see with shifter stories. I would definitely recommend this one."
Tales of a Shifter pt one
"Plot moves too slow. Misspelled words take away from your concentration. Too much time is spent on description and not enough on the ‘grit’ of the story. It’s as if your professor has said give me a thousand word paper on this novel and you are using every adjective available. I’m in hopes that book 2 is going to get into the plot and let it ‘thicken’. This book has so much potential. "
A nice read, however, it takes a bit too long to get to the point. Sometimes it feels like the story is being dragged on unnecessarily. All in all it's a fascinating tale. Just about to start part two
"I like the character development, the day to day experiences of every character. Especially characters like Ezekiel who are developed. Would love for Brandon to have a bit of depth, in terms, of his reactionary skills to situations. Eg. When Walter is poisoned, the typical reaction would be to say something to help to prevent him from being poisoned, or when he sees them hurt in various occassions, I doubt any ordinary person would be at arm's length that long, especially to a family that has supported him. Let's see his emotions being bit realistic... It would be interesting to see passages where an entire chapter is based on a character's thoughts instead of narrating the story all through.it definety breaks monotony. A bit of spelling errors here and there, but all in all it's an interesting read. All in all it's a wonderful story. Looking forward to more of your books. "
