He looked into the mirror in front of him. His reflection staring back at him giving off an answer to his questioning mind. Where had time gone? His eyes held the gaze of a man that died long ago, a man that had thirst for revenge. A man that had lived, loved, and fought. In that empty gaze was countless years of wisdom and the passage of time. Yet, time had not affected his body. It was only in his eyes that you could see the horrors of war, the effects of death, and the loss of loved ones.

Gone were his children and grandchildren, all that was left was a book of portraits.

His father and brothers lost to treachery.

His life taken away, only to be used as a tool. To wonder through the ages as a bitter and cold man. He should've known that it would be taken away again.

He remembered. That's all he had now; his memories.

His Olivia. How she lit up a room with her presence, causing everyone to smile. He remembered her curly raven tresses and hazel eyes that were the colour of bronze in the morning light. Her smile, how it made him feel alive again in this everlasting life he was forced to live. Her smooth skin under his touch, how it felt like silk. Her kisses gave him hope when he needed it. He remembered it took him years to forget his first wife, whose face had haunted him when he had decided it was time to move on.
