Summary

Releasing a Warrior Mage from imprisonment could get you killed - or apprenticed. Brillar, always an adventurous woman, chooses apprenticeship to Master Elden and they set off to recover his stolen property and defeat the man who imprisoned him. When his apprentice is poisoned by his enemy, Elden rushes her to her family and the Sisterhood - a place where healing magic is taught. Her family wants them to stay, Brillar has other ideas. She manages to trick Elden into going into the Wild, a desolate area, filled with physical and magical dangers. The narrowly escape a band of Rovers then find themselves on a quest to free an Aelfain child improsoned by a K'ish Master. But her wanderlust isn't fulfilled and all Elden can do is carry on.
