Chapter 1
‘Sara, did you see my medical book?’, Hailey asked her roommate while rummaging through her drawers.
‘Nope’, replied Sara, as usual. Hailey wasn’t surprised tho, Sara never sees anything. She’s always too busy with her boyfriend to even pay attention to her.
Hailey and Sara were neighbours since they were 7. Their friendship sailed as soon as Hailey was introduced to Sara. Even though they’re complete opposites, they know their friendship will last for forevermore. Sara never focuses on schoolwork and switches her boyfriend every other week. She also parties and drinks till she’s drunk as a skunk.
Hailey always puts studying first and is one of her college’s top achievers. She’s in medical college while Sara barely made it into finance college. Also, Hailey barely even dates. She’s had a couple of relationships in highschool, but that was all.
Hailey was getting ready to attend her first lesson of the day. ‘Who do you have right now?’ Sara spoke out of nowhere. ‘Professor Liam, I hate him with all my guts. He also repays my feelings with equal hatred’ Hailey replied.
‘Why don’t you just skip or, even better, ask to change him’ Sara stated while walking towards Hailey. ‘You know the only reason I am putting up with him, right?’ Hailey accused. Sara was confused for a second, but then realisation came upon her.
Hailey entered Winterson medical school for one person. Thomas. He was her boy best friend and was a very attractive, sweet and genuine person. He was also in a committed relationship with a girl called Tasha. Hailey was envious of them since she barely lasts a year in a relationship and Thomas is out here in a 3 year relationship.
‘I’ll call you when I’m done so we can go to the cafe, like I promised’, Hailey quickly said as she scrambled checking she isn’t forgetting anything. ‘Bye’ Sara said, waving.
