So today,let’s talk about faith.
According to Wikipedia,faith derived from Latin ’fides’and Old French ‘feid’ is confidence or trust in a person,thing or concept.
In addition, Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now, faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see”.
We’ve all been through times we never thought we could come out of or we were expecting something we weren’t too sure would actually happen.In such situations,we must have faith (put our trust)in God to help us overcome our trials.
Galatians 2:16
But we know that God accepts only those who have faith in Jesus Christ. No one can please God by simply obeying the Law. So we put our faith in Christ Jesus, and God accepted us because of our faith.
HOW CAN WE HAVE FAITH IN GOD?
In Romans 10:17,the Bible says,“Trusting in God comes from hearing—hearing the message of Christ.“(free bible version)
I’d agree that sometimes we think God has abandoned us just because we think he has’t answered our prayers but,God never abandons us because he loves us.
JOHN 3:16(NIV)
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
JAMES 1:2-4(NKJV)
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
