Summary

Volume II in the 'A Secret Place' Trilogy. The second book is intended to be a realistic narrative of healing and coping. It is a bared account of struggling to remain resilient to gaping wounds. The wicked and untamed jaws of the universe had Magnolia's neck clasped beneath the rows of teeth. She is kidnapped and trained by Bellatrix Lestrange. She convinces those around her that the devil himself would bow down at her feet if she asked. She is slowly stripped of her dignity in Malfoy Manor, seemingly left with nothing afterward. Draco receives the devastating news of his mother's 'condition' as pressure from Voldemort to kill Albus Dumbledore is split between him and his lover. The two wear the same 'sleeve' with varying weights, both of them on the brink of drowning themselves in fatigue to the sea of the Dark Lord's mercy. But though Magnolia has been dragged through hell, Draco still showered love in her direction. It was the definition of rain reviving dead petals. And because she couldn't bloom herself, she ripped wildflowers out of the ground and sipped on the stems of roses as if they were straws, passive that the thorns bloodied her mouth.
