Six years later
Sarah pulled into her driveway to a see a car that she didn't recognize. She put her car in park and got out of vehicle. The driver got out of the Challenger.
Sarah gasped when she saw the driver face. Hayden Addison!!
He hesitantly spoke
"Sarah?!"
She snarled
"What are you doing here? How dare you show up after what 6 years now?"
Hayden signed he knew this wasn't going to be a easy reunion.
"I messed up Sarah, it took me six years to find you."
Sarah sneered
"You can go back down into the deep dark hole that you crawled out of Hayden."
Sarah walked towards the house, Hayden called out.
"Sarah wait please!"
Sarah turned around to see Hayden pull out the cross she had given to him before he went to Afghanistan six years ago.
Sarah stammered
"Why do you still have that?"
Hayden took in a deep breathe and began to vomit out everything he should've said to her six years ago.
"This cross saved me through all the bad shit and it has led me back to you. I always wanted to save you from every bad relationship and sucky job but I couldn't because I didn't know how to save myself.
I know our stars never aligned but that doesn't mean I ever stop loving you! I told you were my June to my Johnny cash. I will always find you no matter where you are. I may have left you over and over but you never left my heart."
Sarah Sarah stood there stumbling for words and was stunned by shock. She finally chuckled and screeched
"Are you kidding me right now!"
Hayden took a step towards her and look her dead in the eye. She looked away from him.
"Sarah look at me and you will see that I am telling the truth."
She snapped
"My fiancée is waiting for me!"
Hayden looked down at her adorned finger and nodded his head and took a step back.
He commented
"He will never love you like I did."
Sarah sighed
"That's the point Hayden! Now I have to go."
Hayden grew angry at that sentiment
"Do you think I wanted to be the villain in your life Sarah? No I didn't but I did because I thought walking away from you was the best thing for you but I was so horrible wrong."
Sarah snarled
"It took me years to get over you and had to be hospitalized. I am not going back down that road with you. I love John and he is the best thing for me. So please leave Texas and never return here again."
Hayden snapped
"I know I made a mess of us but I thought you could be a little bit civil it has been six years Sarah. I tried for years to contact you and you blocked every attempt. Zack wouldn't even tell me where you were and he is my best friend."
Sarah sighed
"Because every time I look at you it rips open a old rotted wound that I don't care to slap another band aid on it. Please leave I am getting married next month and I don't need you lurking around."
Hayden groaned
"As you wish princess!"
He got into his car and slammed the door.
