her father wasn't mad, just worried.
at the mere thought of his daughter joining a race that could possibly threaten her life was enough to give him a heart attack. he never favoured this idea, he couldn't bare sending out his one and only child in danger for the very sake of his.
"it's okay dad, i can do it" [name] reassured, engulfing her father in a warm hug. tomorrow is when she'll take her leave and join the famous steel ball run race. the prize money being the cause of her intentions, thinking that winning this race would drastically change their lives for the greater good. especially her father's condition.

"come back home once your done, and don't forget our deal" she chuckled, nodding once more before breaking their embrace.
"i will, and i will, just know that when i come back you'll be able to stand once more" oh to see her father's smile was a blessing. she yearned to see him more happy, to be able to enjoy the rest of his life without worrrying about anything.
"i'll win the race, dad, i won't disappoint you"
