it was a pretty normal day when y/n f/n decided to take a walk with her best friend, Yamaguchi Tadashi.

~tsukkis pov~

“and the ball hit square in the back of Kageyama's head!” was all I heard from the dummy known as Yamaguchi. all he ever did was talk about y/n, or talk to her. and suddenly, it was pretty evident they liked each other.

~yamaguchis pov~

I was so excited to have someone to talk to about these things because everyone I knew was either A, on the team or B, in my family and didn’t care. “IN THE HEAD?” y/n asked me excitedly. “YES!” I said with the same excitement as her. I never realized it, but her beautiful e/c eyes sparkled every time she got excited. it was cute. like when a kitten meows, or when a baby laughs.

“wow. he must’ve been FURIOUS!" she said, her eyes still shining and sparkling. “mhm! he looked at Hinata with the scariest look!” I said, hearing approaching footsteps. “hey lovebirds.” said the voice of tsukki. “TSUKKI!” I said as me and y/n whipped around at the same time. her eyes stopped sparkling and grew furious, while her cheeks were tinted pink as well as mine. “tsukki!! we are NOT an I repeat NOT in love. hmph.” she said, stomping ahead of me and tsukki.

“tsukki..” I said in a low voice.

I stomped ahead knowing full well the boys would stay back and whisper to each other. “i... yes!... I haven’t told her yet..” That was all I could hear from yams, so I tuned in to tsukkis part of the conversation. “so?... yAmS!... I know!... do it!” and that was all I heard from him. tell me what? I thought worriedly.

it had been known amongst my group of friends I liked him, so immediately I thought Ayane told him!! and now yams is saying he hasn’t told me he doesn't like me yet!! thoughts like these raced into my brain as I stopped walking so they could catch up.

“hey, guys! watcha talkin about?” I said in a slightly irritated-but-i-don’t-want-to-show-it-tone.

~yamaguchis pov~

oh no... I thought she heard us talking.. and how I told tsukki it hurt me when she said we aren’t lovebirds.. and how I like her.. as I was panicking I blurted out, “dinosaurs!” and tsukki facepalmed. “is that true tsukki?” she said, playfully and angrily all at once. “yes. we were talking about how the Saurophaganax and the Pachycephalosaurus are the coolest.” he said, smirking at me clearly getting revenge. “awe, wifey, you didn’t have to whisper!” she said cutely and playfully. why that name again... I thought as a pink tint dusted my cheeks.

wifey was the name she gave me when I insisted I be the wife when me and tsukki were playing family, and she was watching through the door. “stop calling me wifeyyy.” I begged. “hmm.. no thanks.” she said, checking her phone. “oh shit. gotta run. don’t forget you’re coming over for dinner tonight yams.” she said, running off.
