Chapter 1

I started watching Grey's Anatomy a month ago and yesterday I just got done watching season 12. Ah! So much has happened!

---------------.---------------.--------------

I hurried up two flights of stairs swearing under my breath. "Shit. Shit. Oh shi-" I jumped two steps at a time. I can't believe for my first day of my new job I'm going to be late. As I open the door to exit the stairwells I spotted a dirty blond haird woman stepping out of the elevator. We looked at each other " you late too?" She guessed as my breath caught up with me. I nodded "oh yeah" I smiled slightly as we both headed down the hallway. Large group of people walking into an operating room. Me and the girl next to me said an other word to each other as me slip through the door behind them, the operated was well clean and stocked.

Everyone I saw was in Awe. For this being our first time standing in an operating room knowing that we would operate at some point. Being an intern will take work. "Each of you comes here hopeful. Wanting in on the game. A month ago you were in med school being taught by doctors. Today, you are the doctors" an older man tells us all. Guessing he was Dr. Webber. He watches us one by one just waiting for one of us to make a mistake. " the seven years you spend here as a surgical resident will be the best and worst of your life. You will be pushed to the breaking point. Look around you. Say helll to you competition" Dr. Webber said

Everyone in the operating room started looking around at everyone. I kind of glanced and thought to myself that there were less women than there were men. " eight of you will switch to an easier speciality. Five of you will crack under the pressure. Two of you will be asked to leave" dr.webber talked on and on just pounding hints and words into our heads. " this is your starting line. This is your arena. How well you play? That's up to you"

We all waited to be call on by our residents. We stood by our lockers as we changed into our scrubs. "Only six women out of twenty" a women next to me shook her news as she glanced around the locker room, I recognized her from earlier when I came in late. Did she tell me new name? Hmm.. "yeah. I hear one of thems a model" a women with dark curly hair says " seriously, like that's going to help with the respect thing?" I looked at her for a bit then looked down tying my shoes. "you're Cristina, right?" The blond girl asked her. "which resident are you assigned too?" Christian nodded

" I got bailey" the blond raised her brow at her " the nazi? I got her too" I smirked when she called bailey the Nazi. " you got the nazi? So did I, at least we'll be tortured together right?" I turn my attention to a young man joining the conversation. " I'm George O'Malley, uh, we met at the mixer. You had a black dress with a slit up the side, strappy sandals...now you think I'm gay" Christian nodded "uh-huh" before she walked away from George "no, I'm not gay, it's, ah it's just that-- you know- you were-- I mean, you were very, unforgettable" George insisted and smiled at the blond

" O'Malley, Yang, Grey, Stevens, Grace" the resident called our names. I stood up and went to the door with others following me from behind. "Bailey?' Christina asked the resident, having reached him frist, just for jumping in front of me. "End of the hall" he pointed before turning his attention back to the locker room. I glanced at the direction that he pointed and I could feel my eyebrows raise seeing the women that couldn't have been more than five feet. "That's the Nazi?" Christina muttered seeming surprised as well. "I thought the Nazi would be a guy" George said as we all made our way down the hall towards her.

" I thought the Nazi would be.. The Nazi" the dirty blond shook her head. "Maybe its professional jealousy. Maybe she's brilliant and they call her Nazi because they're jealous" the tall blond one spoke " maybe she's nice" Christina looked at her " let me guess, your the model" the tall blond just shot her a look as we stopped in front of bailey. She then held her hand out to bailey and gave a bright smile. "Hi, I'm isobel Stevens, but everyone calls me Izzie" the blond introduced herself. I smirked as bailey just looked her up and down for a moment not even making any temps to shake her hand.

"I have Five rules. Memorize them. Rule number one. Don't bother sucking up, I already hate you, that's not gonna change. Trauma Protocol, Phone lists, pagers nurses will page you, you answer every page at a run. A run. Rhadamanthus rule number two." We all grabbed our pagers and other things off the bench before hurrying to follow bailey down the hall. " your first shifts starts now and lasts forth eight hours. You're interns, grunts, nobodies, bottom of the surgical food chain, you run labs, write orders, work every second night till you drop and don't complain! On call rooms. Attending school hog them, sleep when you can, were you can, which brings me to rule number three, if I'm sleeping don't wake me, unless your patient is actually dying. Rule number four, the dying patient better not be dead when I get there not only would you have killed someone, you would have also woke me for no good reason, we clear?"

The blond raised her hand "yes?" Bailey looked at her annoyed. " you said five rules, that wa stinky four" she pointed out as baileys pager started to go off. "rule number five, when I move you move" she looked at her pager before she began to run down the hallways. We all ran after her I was the first one on the elevator with bailey we all gathered in the elevator. Christina looked at me for a bit before the door opened we were on the roof. A helicopter already there unloading a young girl on a stretcher. "What've we got?" Bailey asked the paramedics. "Katie Bryce, fifteen year old female, new onset seizures, intermediate for the past week. ID lost en route, started mal seizing as we descended" the paramedic beifed us as we rolled the girl inside. Though she was already seizing up again.

"Alright, get her on her side" Bailey instructed once we had gotten her into a trauma room "izzie, ten milligrams diazepam. No. No the white lead is on the right, righty Grace, smoke over fire. A large bore I.v. Don't let the blood haemolyse, lets go!" Ozzie just stood there for a moment. Looking like a dear caught in the head lights, shaking my head I pushed her out of the wash and injected Katie with the medicine myself and watched her finally stop seizing, just as she did another doctor made his way into the room. This one a tall man wearing dark blue scrubs. Showing that he was an attending. "So I heard we got wer fish on dry land?" The Doctor commented as he Began to to look over the report the paramedics had supplied for Katie. " absolutely Dr.Burle" Bailey nodded.

" dr. Bailey i, gonna shotgun her" the attending Burke told us " that means every test in the book, CT, CBC, CHEM. SEVEN, A TOX SCREEN" bailey informed us all " Christina your on labs. George, patients workups. Arcelia, Meredith get Katie for a CT, she's your responsibility now" izzie watched all of us moving. " wait, what about me?" She asked bailey." You- Honey, you get to do rectal exams" bailey gave me a smirk before heading out of the room, bailey is up to something.. but she left us to do as she said.
