Hey! Alex here :) and Hamilt0nWeird0 and I are excited to bring you this book and we want to take you on a journey as we unravel all of the happy laughs, the sad cries, and the shocks that this fic will have to offer.
I do want to say that we do not own any of the characters, nor the music nor the idea. this is just a retelling of the story of Dear Evan Hansen.
Songs will be rewritten and I will be providing demos to them. maybe, if I can, in the future there might be an official cast recording with me and a few friends of mine. But for now, it will just be me. (both Hamilt0nWeird0 and I will be rewriting songs, editing instrumentals and adding songs in. for example, we're adding in Obvious and going viral, as well as combining You will be found reprise with a going viral reprise that we're making)
i'll try to update this book with a schedule. every weekend there's a new chapter but I can't make any promises.
I also want to note that Evan apologists will not have a good time reading this book. I want to get this out of the way as quickly as possible, Evan was a horrible person. he is not the cute and innocent cinnamon roll that you all insist that he is. He used Alana for her smarts and dedication so that SHE could run The Connor Project page, he gaslighted Jared by telling him that he should've been working on the blog when he clearly told Jared that he didn't need his help, and when Jared did try to help, Evan blatantly ignored him and tossed him aside when he wasn't useful to him anymore. He lied to his mom about literally everything and refused to tell her the truth until the very end when she practically already knew it, he just needed to own up to it. And we all know what he did to the Murphy's. especially Zoe.
uh chile anyways I went on a rant there. but this book wont depict him as a saint, it will show that his actions do indeed have consequences and he will experience them firsthand.
